"The Bear" as he was currently being referred as, which made sense considering no one knew his name including himself at this point, was laying on the floor of the cage, staring at those around him. He was tame, calm, although he didn't want to be. His muscles twitched as he wanted to lash out at... everyone. For too long he was a spectacle for others to watch, there for others entertainment. It has been so long since he had been a man, being locked in the form of his beast.
At first it was because of the curse, the one that locked him in that state as he was simply trying to heal. At the time it was the curse that kept him from taking his human form again but then everything he had suffered and then being cursed and sold, placed as some attraction caused him to lose his will to fight. So for year he was there, living with the others caged, being watched, taunted, loud noises, flashes of lights from cameras. The longer he was there, the more his human just wanted to hide from it all. It just aggravated his bear.
As he laid there the man inside could feel the pull. Someone calling him forth. The man barely remembered his name, let alone what it was like to be a man. Still, he wanted to fight. He needed to fight. It had been so long since his human side even felt.. anything. To have someone trying to contact the man inside was enough to make him want to fight again. He almost forgot he still existed inside his beast. he may not remember much of anything right now, but he did remember he existed now, thanks to them and he was going to fight his way out, or die trying.
The process was grueling as he had to fight his beast back within him to allow himself to finally take control again, after nine long years. The fact there was an audience, albeit small, was distracting at first but he eventually focused. In any other circumstance he was be fuming at the idea of someone else inside of his head, but not today. Today he cared more about being himself again. He fought and fought his way back, the guttural roars and growls filling the room as he took control once again. After what felt like forever to him, but was probably no more then minutes to them, the man laid there on the floor of the cage, and not the bear. With a low growl he pushed one fist to the bottom of the cage then the other pushed his upper body up off of the floor, his muscles flexing and rippling with the effort, his dark eyes looking to those there in confusion.

As Tyler entered he shrugged in answer pouring the other mug with coffee motioning towards the fixing if he needed any." Thanks for that but no just playing a game of tag right now. No one at risk and me hidden its as good a time as any. Plus I asked for help. " He said his grin back in place. More for the effort Tyler was making. He was bottled up nice and tight. Lowkey had to admit it was a nice touch. Tyler had impressed him with his soft yet firm hand. He was no joke power wise and was even less of one with the way he handled things. He was all business yes but it wasn’t the typical chest beating overpowering my way or the highway foolishness. He knew a lot of people would take that kindness for weakness or worse try to take advantage. The idea made him a little sad.

Based on the pounding and attempts to thrash it was clear the only thing really being worked out was how he might shatter one or both of his fists. Hiero thought even as he acquiesced pulling back the flow of him. It was akin to dimming a light. It would still burn to the touch and the dark would be less all encompassing, but its brilliance would be less for it. He kept his hand there bridging them all together yet managed to stuff enough of him back as to not overbear.
As the shift started he hoped the man would not get stuck would not lose himself once more midchange. It had clearly been sometime as the mans eyes stared out of the bears face. The change was upon him in full. Stepping forward watching as the pelt slowly became awash in change fluid and receded he glanced at the clock.
Glancing back to Cari as she slunk to the ground resting and a bit depleted he restrained himself form spring too quickly. He did however insure she had a drink and taking one of the stack of hospital blankets drapped it round her and the other about her if she wanted to lay her head down. It wouldn’t be long now ten fifteen minutes tops there was a flicker of sheer strength to the man but having been so long trapped or tricked or some trembling trait between the two he knew it would be painful. As they all watched the shift finish itself he rose and went to the chacuterie that Vari or Tyler had left out snagging a few morsels eating a bite he placed the plate just outside the bars so that once completely changed he might reach it. Once more visiting the makeshift table he cadged one of the beers and opened it making himself comfortable near at hand offering support to Cari so that when the shift finished they might be able to speak if it was successful.

Carina having heard Dani ask for less wattage had lowered her singing volume and slid some of her shieldings back into place it seemed just in time for the man they knew as the bear to start fighting to the surface. She stepped back just a hair but didn't break the connection with the others. His sounds were painful and she was glad her eyes were back closed. Her song more a whisper now to keep some level of its magic but it was starting to tax her just a bit. Had Heiro not the strength he did she probably wouldn't have lasted so long.
Finally after five maybe ten minutes the large dark-haired man lay before them and she stopped her song sagging slowly to the floor breathing hard. they would have an additional five minutes of the effects but after he and they would be without her aura of calm and attraction. Knees pulled up she peered at him through the bars and smiled hiis dark eyes were very confused but they had done it. Not sure how much he would be able to interact but she was thankful enough that for now he wasn't a bear anymore and might have a chance.
Looking to Dani Heiro and Vari, whispering" can I have a bit of water please and do we have the blanket for him ?"
He was bare as the day he was born not that he wasn't pleasant to look at, far from it but this was not the time to oggle the man that needed their help still. when given the blankets she kept the one he wrapped her with and the other was placed within reach then the water one kept and the other opened and set before him next to the provided meat. She retreated a bit more moving just a hint closer to Heiro leaving Dani as the leader of the bears the closest to him.

Vari would have slunk away but Ty had beat her to it. This was their house so one of them should be present. So she stayed, watching and hoping even as she feared the worse.
The heady feel of beasts mingling into a blind flavorful whole.
The success thus far a thing she was sure would not be repeated anytime soon. So much power so much control. This was truly an interesting city.
As the bear outwardly became man she wondered if he was in there or if this was just the bear playing dress up.

As he began to shift in earnest she also pulled back some hoping that he could get through it safely. She didn't fully pull away from his mind and reign in the power in the room until the man was lying on the floor. She definitely wobbled, her shoulders sagging at the end having not expended so much of herself before. The problem being however that she couldn't just sit down after all that.
Dani moved closer to the cage as blankets and food were handed out her eyes on the man staring back at everyone in apparent confusion. She was trying to place why he looked familiar to her. No she had never met him before but damn if she hadn't seen his face somewhere. Her head cocked as she tried to figure it out.
Watching as he took a bit of food his eyes scanning all of them it finally clicked into place. She knew where she knew his face from. Her eyes widened as she stared. His face was in some of the pictures she had seen at the house. He was the one that had gone missing some years back. She'd not dug into it as generally when someone like them goes missing either you got caught or killed and as no one had found a body it had simply been an assumption. Not that she had been in town at the time as that had happened some years before her arrival.
Stepping back she gestured at him hoping he'd be able to talk to them or even understand. "Can you remember your name or anything for that matter?" Yes she was very sure of who they were all looking at but she was curious if he could recall any of his life from before.

(with permission from the writer posting as Marco) :: He watched them watch him, the woman with the dark eyes offered him blankets and he smelled food. Snatching the meat through the bars he wolfed it down hungrily not caring about manners at the moment. That had taken so much out of him, sniffing at them all taking in the scent somewhere in the back of his mind he knew what each was the large imposing man he remembered seeing through water and glass with a little girl was a lion and powerful if the sensations he got was correct. The other woman he recognized as well smelled like the wolf she had come to see him as well. Seems they had planned this rescue of sorts, the smaller woman dark hair in the blanket smelled like a cat to him ..leopard? Her smile was pleasant and he tried to smile back but it looked more like a snarl. Water grabbed and gulped as his brain tried to process just moving his body as a human now. So very confused with this all but the last one the one who smelled like him who spoke to him directly asking if he remembered his name appeared to know him and that made him irritated he couldn't remember her. Trying to make his stupid human mouth form words. "Nn.. Not..Much. Faces..yes them" Pointing to Heiro and Vari then sitting down hard with a deep breath:: Tyler sat thinking" well keep at it kiddo help sounds good, long as you can trust whoever it is .. but I know you know better" Giving him a soft grin, but catching the brief sad face on the other" whats up? you look like your brain might melt from thinking too hard.. girl trouble?" Sipping his coffe knowing there would be no sleep tonight and that he would need to go back down in a minute.

"Girl trouble me? No never that, I am a cold mack daddy player player. If i ever bothered to get into the game." He smirked and sipped. Going on he said, "Its actually about you. Well you and Vari. I've survived the insannity of this place so long i don't think I could really be any other way. But you two seem way too good for here. And i know a lot of the wolves out there might try to take advantage of you or worse. It makes me sad to think about it is all." He sipped turning more directly to his screen to not feed into that feeling he watched as his screen ticked by in zero's and ones and DOS moving back and forth between his own code and that of the open nets.

"You recognize us?" Vari asked probing a little careful to not over-exert him in the now. "What about you do you remember you? Or even what year it is?" She was curious as to what effect and all those years shifted had on him. His eyes were dark but they might have always been that way. He seemed relatively healthy she wouldn't know for sure until they could run a few tests on him. She looked at the others unsure of how they would like to proceed. Especially as the decision was ultimately up to Dani. She would need to decide what was best and how to carry on.
