Selene sat patiently waiting for him to fix her another piece, before taking it and smiling up at him happily. "Thank you." Munching on another bite she couldn't help but love this and wanted to see if they could try it again. Nodding her head some as he finally answered the question on what they were gonna be doing. Those eyes of hers staying on his face, but they were sparkling the more he spoke on the plans so clearly the dad had chosen well for his daughter. "I can't wait they all sound fun. But what is Dsable?" Taking another bite of her food before thinking on his question and nodded, till the bite she had taken was gone. "I like to draw and mom was showing me how to take pictures and work on my art so I guess that could mean yes, but don't think we've ever gone to a art museum. At least not that I remember. Mom did try to take me places when she could." Smiling once more back up at him before reaching for her drink.

Hiero happily relinquished her crostini to her smiling at her manners. Clearly ot a product of him. He was a hellion at her age. "You are most welcome Princess." He said as he considered how to go forward. She much like her mother tended to give with everything all at once.
Deciding on the path he and Shaydra had spoken of he would be honest and forthright not that he had another way of doing things either way. But he hoped the example he was leading would be her ideal for herself as she grew in age. Be honest. Be forthright. Treat yourself. Dive in both feet and enjoy what the world offered. Create a safe space for those you loved and allow your heart to share what joy you could.
"Well Dusable is one of the few Museums I actually have frequented its smaller and made more for quiet contemplative moments. Plus it sits at the gateway to a great park. There are foxes and geese and swans and a secret island. Even with the weather it’s a great place to just explore." He didn’t mention the play areas or the armory or the sculptures but was hoping she’d be awake enough to experience most of them even if just in passing.
Sliding the remainer of the Saganaki to the side as he spied the waitress bringing their burgers he asked "That is really good. I like to sketch too. I haven’t made time to do it in a while maybe one day you and I can create something. What places has your mom taken you?” This last he asked truly curious as he would lie to make new memories but also honor her older ones as well.

She took the second helping of the appetizer and munched it carefully, that soft little smile of hers appearing as he spoke. Enjoying herself so far and couldn't wait to see what else he had planned. Pausing her snack while he explained her eyes sparkling a little at the mention of the park at this other museum. "Ooo can we go? I love parks, but that other museum sounds pretty nice too, but you got me when you said foxes and swans and secret island more." Giggling a little as she was much more on for seeing animals as she was art and things, but hey she was a kid right?
Going back to her snack and hoping they got to see some of the animals he mentioned, before spotting the woman from earlier coming back. Her eyes following the plates and she blinked those bright eyes before he had her attention on him again and she turned to look over. "Oh really? That would be cool, I did one piece for mother awhile back, but I accidently spilled some juice on it. But I want to make another maybe you can help me? I'll do one for you as well." Taking the last bite she thought a moment about his question before carefully taking a sip of her drink and finally nodded.
"When we were in LA she took me to Frisco and we saw seals and fish, lots of fish oh and sharks and starfish. I got to pet both of them, they were really small and the lady said they didn't mind being touched you just had to be gentle. I think mom took a picture if you want to see. And she took me to this place Science something, but they had exhibits some were with real animals others were just fake. But it was soo cool oh oh and I saw some huge snakes daddy. I didn't know snakes could get so big." She was on a roll and didn't even know if he would understand half of the places or know what she was referring too or not. Oh and this other place I can't remember the name, but all the exhibits you could play on, that was alot of fun. Umm I've been to the zoo both in LA and New York. OMG daddy you have to go to New York its soo big, mother mostly took me to the parks there and the zoo. I saw a baby wolf pup it was soo cute it was playing with another pup in this nursery with some other animals."
Looking at the food she finished what she was saying, "I tried to see if mother could let us take it home, but she said no. Do you think we could get a pet here daddy? I'd take care of it?" And there were those eyes, those sweet, innocent, pleading eyes which Hiero probably hadn't been subjected too yet, but Shaydra had on numerous occasions.

He listened as she spoke of the places they’d gone he was listening rather intently filing things away. But as she go to the issue of pets he chuckled which rolled into a belly laugh he hid behind a cough and eye avoidance. Oh she was good a little too good but he understood. He often when younger asked his Grandfather about the lack of pets aside form fish and a few reptiles that some of the Pride kept. The answer he received was unfit to remember but he got it. Kids loved pets and small animals. Or more precisely animals in general.
"There is so very much there we will see as much as we can and come back for whatever we don’t." He said preparing her burger asking with a look what she did and didn’t want on it. Luckily the burgers were on platters all but deconstructed with a heaping helping of fresh hot fries. As he prepared her meal he went on speaking, “As for pets the answer off the cuff would be a yes however there are things we need to work out. Like which sort of pet and how would you possibly take care of them and so many other things. Namely what happens when you don’t.”
He fixed her with a look that said all that and more. He would of course bend but she wouldn’t know that. As such he wanted her to think on it and plan for it. Her vocabulary her understanding was in his eyes not only perfect but sufficient to the task. Pushover he might be but he wanted her as strong as her understanding stated she should be.

It honestly, didn't cross her mind she was rambling on and on again. She had a tendency to talk about things she loved more than others and would go on and on unless stopped. Looking back over as he fixed the burgers, nodding some when he spoke before looking at all the things for the burger. "Can I have lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon please? With some mayo and ketchup." Sipping on her drink wondering how she was going to actually finish well how they would finish all of this. It seemed like alot of food for two people. "Daddy can we really eat all this?"
Though as he went back to mentioning pets she bit her lip some knowing he'd mentioned yes, but than continued and she exhaled a little. Really wanting to have a pet of her own. Taking a sip of her drink and thinking a moment, she had ideas on what she wanted. "Well could I get a wolf pup? Mom when we were away told me things about wolves, she told me a little about lions, said you'd be better on that front. But I think I could handle it really well and I've got books that I've been reading about them as well and some on lions. Oh and I never knew there was such a thing as a black lion that is so cool. And there is a creature that is called....a lyger I think was the name its a lion and tiger have you ever seen one of those daddy the picture made it seem huge and I'd love to see one up close. Well maybe not too close that be pretty scary I think. But please daddy I can be responsible."

He shrugged at her food question him yes definitely her maybe not. There were of course other things to do with the food as well. There was a homeless village on lower Wacker not far from where they were. It’d be a good lesson if she didn’t finish. As such he built her burger as asked and cut it in half. "Maybe maybe not? Eat what you can on half at a time and we will find something to do with the food. Promise."
As he finished preparing her meal he slid the tray in front of her and prepared his own.
"That’s all fine and good baby but I don’t think either would be a good pet for you lets start small and work our way up. Next weekend lets go pick you out a fish tank and fish to swim in it. That way you can prove how ready you are. And no I haven’t seen a liger in person. Though I am sure we can find someone who has one or a few."

Even if she was focused on the conversation, her eyes were looking to the burger he was making for her and how big it kept getting. A light breath as she waited and was glad when he asked and she wanted it cut in half, hoping that helped some for her eating it. Even just a little. Nodding her head after he mentioned coming up with something to do with the food and smiled back at him. Taking her plate and after a moment carefully went to grab one half so she could take a bite of it, trying to not have it all just fall right out and either on her or the floor.
It was good and she set it down while she chewed the bite, but listened to his reply about a pet and looked down when he said he didn't think they were the right kind of pet for her to start with and thought something smaller was better. The idea of a fish seemed a little boring to her and she let her eyes meet his once more. "Does it have to be fish? All they do is swim around in circles, they can't do tricks or snuggle." Which was a good point snuggling a fish would guarantee its death quickly.

He raised one brow as she was clearly crestfallen at the notion of a fish. "True. You can't snuggle a fish. But imagine that a pet is a meal like this one in front of us. A fish is half a burger and some fries. A puppy is two burgers fries milkshake and a slice of your favorite pie. A wolf is twice that and a lion is a burger the size of a cow. So you need to decide how much can you eat without a stomach ache and without help?"
The analogy as sound if downplaying how much more difficult it would be as she so young. He wanted her to understand yet doubted she would. Whenever forgot that despite her intellect she was still a child.

She took another bite of her sandwich, liking it indeed especially how he fixed it for her. Her own head tilting to the side as he spoke and she stopped chewing and stared at him. Clearly her little mind was trying to make sense of this what appeared to be math problem and yet it was just slightly going over her head at the moment. Those bright eyes staring up at him with that look clearly saying she didn't get at all what he was saying. "Umm daddy how would a fish be half a burger and fries? Their like this big." Using her fingers to show what she meant, putting them upto half of her burger and than looked back over at him once more.
"See daddy that isn't even close to the size." Exhaling once more and just went back to her food deciding this topic was too confusing at the moment.

He laughed at the argument she raised. Always know your battlefield he chided himself. "Okay princess we will seriously talk which pets you can take care of by yourself. With your mother."
