Selene frowned a little seeing his reaction to her words. Hoping she'd not said something to bad to upset him right now. A light little breath before he finally spoke and she nodded some. "You mean you and mommy?" Assuming the all was both her parents.
She looked backed down and frowned a little before leaning into him again. "It's just...when mom said we were coming home I expected us to be a family. Are you sure it's okay. And what do you mean I'm this miracle. Mom calls me her precious angel but I've never heard miracle before."

She was laboring with things a child shouldn't have to and it made him feel like such a heel. She shouldn't have had such expectations yet she did and he'd clearly broken them. She was expecting the typical CIS family structure and here he was pushing the more the merrier basically. "I mean 'US' your mom, me, and Tasha, the Pride and the Pack 'US' all of us." He said clarifying the us as well as hopefully showing that she was a part of things so much larger than her.
His heart went out to her trying to right this in her head. " I understand that and I am glad your mom called this home. "

That was one thing her mother knew, Selene was alot more observant and smart for a child her age. A light breath slipped from her lips. Before he spoke and she blinked a little. Looking back up at him curiously, her little brows furrowed some. "Who's Tasha? Oh wait you mean Natasha. But daddy I'm not like you and mommy yet, how can I fit in when I can't act like those in the groups? I know mommy said one day I would, but what do I do now?" Exhaling some softly before she slightly curled up against him once more. Nodding a little, "I've wanted to come here since I was able to understand. Mother seemed to really miss it here and you, the look in her eyes always gave it away."

He chuckled as she corrected him using Tasha’s full name . "You are special Princess there isn’t a set time when you come into your abilities. And no telling what the full scope of your abilities will be. But being forewarned prepared for the potential will make you so much better able to deal with them. So to make sure you are as prepared as we can help you to be you will need to know about both sides of your potential." As she moved to get more comfortable he readjusted the blankets around her to keep her warm. "I am glad you are here, Princess. I really am." Looking out onto the streets he knew they were about six minutes out from the Shedd.

As he explained, she glanced back up at him, nodding her head softly. Knowing it would be hard, but she could handle it she wanted to be like her parents. Just hoped she wasn't going to still feel so scared and like she wasn't to fit in well. Exhaling some, biting on her lip a little knowing that was what she was worried about. "I just hope I'm can be as good as you and mom, just nervous on what others might think or say. You and mom have both said I'm special among our kind, but even I know not all people will accept things as they are." When he adjusted the blanket she snuggled with it more and looked back out the window the best she could from her place on his lap. This really was amazing being in the carriage, that little smile once more appearing when he spoke of being glad she was here.

He enjoyed spending time with Selene and was already jealous for having not had her in his life for so long.

As they pulled up to the Shedd he carried her down from the carriage sitting her on her feet to get blood flowing. As the carriage pulled away he directed her to look towards the loop. From here was the best view in the city of the cities Skyline. It had been made into posters and various pieces for years.

She was still looking around some, nodding her head a little as he spoke, glancing back to him and gave a gently little smile. "I can try daddy. I don't know what way I would go, but I can at least try." Biting on her lip some before feeling the carriage actually stopping and she looked back out the window. Giggling once more when she was suddenly lifted back up again and carried down to the ground. Her bright eyes taking in everything, before seeing him pointing her to look and took in the images before them. Cocking her head a little a moment. "Wow is that real?" She couldn't quite tell, but it was amazing and her thinking and wanting to see it all.
"Are we going see all of this daddy?" Pointing towards the view than back to him.

He chuckled, "Probably not all but as much as we can." Running his neck, "Honestly I've only been here never upon a time ago. Seems as if you will be bringing a little culture to your dad's life." He sighed realizing that for having been here as long as he had he couldn't remember being inside any museum until now.
Yep he was an uncultured swine. He could tell you where to buy reliable illegal firearms, drugs, people, and information. But Art, Sciences, Culture not so much. Well he knew where just didn't frequent them. Shameful he chided himself.
"So a tour then lunch, yeah?"

She giggled a little, still looking around loving this and they'd hadn't even gone anywhere just the carriage ride. Glancing back up at her father, she smiled a little and she smiled. Taking his hand and her little eyes were sparkling. "YAY!! I get to experience something with you that you haven't...so this will be exciting for us both." No she wasn't excited not at all. Actually she was ecstatic that they would get to share this experience together that just made this all the better a day. Glancing around a little more before hearing his question and she cocked her head a moment. "Yes tour than lunch."

"Well, princess..." He said with a little squeeze. "Shall we..." as stepped towards the aquarium. It was a large building as such things went especially with its newer wing. He honestly couldn't wait for her to watch the dolphin show.
As they moved in he kept from pausing but just barely. Moving as if he hadn't smelled snake on the wind. Moving as it didn't gut punch him with guilt.
Ignoring the itch to scan the crowd. It wasn't Tiem or Karishma, Neil, or any of the others he knew of. Yet they were here and he was suddenly in hairs.
Smiling at Selene he crouched to meet her eyes. "You know I forgot to ask you a very important question...Do you know I love you with the whole of my heart?"
