The smile was still on her face as they sat there talking, or rather her daddy did and she was just thinking about the polar bear. "He was sure pretty, wish I could of pet him, I bet it's like snuggling a fluffy pillow." Her soft giggle echoing a little before he went on about the food and she cocked her head some softly thinking. Actually, there was alot of things she liked, many of which were the same foods as her mother. "Hmm well my favorite mommy said was also something you liked that she cooks me, but I don't think they can cook that, so maybe something Chinese or even Mexican? I don't mind really daddy. What are you going to get?"

"Not quite but I am sure it's pretty close. So that being the case two burgers it is..." He said motioning to the waitress. As she came over he asked for two burgers everything with cheese and an order of saganaki to start.
He couldn't wait to see how Selene took in the flaming cheese dish. It was always one of faves when dining out anything flambe was always on his to do list.

She just smiled softly as he got them both two burgers, glancing around a moment before turning back. Her brows furrowed some when he asked for something else. "Daddy. Whats...sagki?" Clearly not sure even how to say the name, but he'd ordered it so she wanted to know what it was. "So what else is on the list for us to do?" Bouncing a little, just wanting to know what else was planned since he said they had a busy day ahead of them.

His face lit up as if he had the winning lottery numbers. "Saganaki? You've never had it oh my god, you poor deprived baby." He began a smile plastered on his face. "Saganaki is just deliciousness and fire. It comes to you dancing and putting on a show. Speak of the devil and he shall appear," he said as the waitress came out platter in hand as she neared the table her steps slowing. She paused long enough to retrieve her lighter. Smiling at Selene she struck it alight and moved it towards the cheese which had clearly been doused already.
And whoosh it danced a bright blue flame sparking and spitting far louder than any real danger it could do. The flame dancing bright and active turning a simple cheese into an ooey hooey delicacy.
Ad the waitress doused the flames with a cover after sitting on the table Hiero watched Selenes face as the warm deliciousness wafted filling their immediate space with the scent of a gourmet grilled cheese.

Selene had trouble saying certain words, phrases, but she did try and attempt even if it was the wrong outcome. So seeing his facial expression had her wondering before he resaid the word and she just nodded. Cocking her head at the shock of him hearing she never had tried it before, but she just shrugged. "Hey I've never heard of it so how would I know if I've tried it? Does mother even know what this is? Maybe you can teach her or show her than I can have it more than." Of course, she was also going off the assumption that she'd like this and want more.
Turning her head when he joked of it appearing and she watched the waitress before those bright eyes grew even wider as the flames appeared. A soft little gasp slipped from her lips, while she leaned up on the table to try and have a better look. "Oh wow...daddy did you see the blue fire..." The excitement was in her voice clearly even once the waitress douced the fire and set the plate on the table.
Sniffing a little as the scent finally hit her nose and she licked her lips glancing from their food to her daddy.

No choice but forward Hiero reached out taking the nearly wafer thin crostini and dolloping some of the saganaki he passed it across to Selene. "Blow baby and dig in."
Doing the same for himself he showed her how to cool the first bite of deliciousness. His face permasmiled. He watched as she took in the sheer body warming goodness.

She was still amazed the thing before them had been on fire only a few moments ago, before seeing her dad reaching in and gathering some of the gooey and she smiled. Taking the piece he passed, glancing from him to it and carefully blew on it and took a bite. Tasting it along her tongue and she finished the bite before taking another and finishing the piece he'd given her. "Daddy...this is so good!!...It's sooo gooey." Waiting for another, taking a sip of her water for now. But definitely loving this treat and hoping she got to have it again sometime.

Her excitement and pleasure was infectious. He knew he'd be a sucker for her. He also knee woe betide any soul who caused her harm. In her defense he would very likely easily become a monster in action. Who was he kidding he would summon up all the dark he saw in his brother and himself unleashing it on the world as by product of simply scouring away all harm hurt and sadness from her.
"It is isn't baby? Ready for more?" He asked already preparing her another helping. His thoughts of course filtered back to the polar bear. He had no legal quick way of dealing with the issue at hand.

She was so innocent of things, but she was extremely observant, still any child would think their parents ready to do anything for them. So it wasn't like she didn't expect her parents to protect her at all costs and do what was needed, it just wasn't on her little mind like it was perhaps for either of her parents. While she glanced around the room a moment she couldn't help thinking of how she felt since they had come to Chicago and for the first time she felt completely happy and content.
It wasn't to say she'd not been with just her mother, but ever since she was able to talk and understand. She and her mother were constantly talking about Hiero so she knew him to some extent. It was why she'd been both excited and scared. Worried even although Shay had told her Hiero wouldn't hate her, he'd adore her. Guess she had to see that first hand and sure enough he seemed to do just that. That certainly helped Selene adapt better to Chicago knowing both her parents loved and adored her, she'd not been sure how she would of responded if he'd not wanted anything to do with her.
As he spoke her eyes brightened (if it was possible) before nodding her head. "Yes please." That smile of hers was a cross of both parents. "So after we eat are we done here or is there more we haven't seen?" Curious and wanting to know or rather hoping he might let something else slip about their day plans.

Preparing her morsel as if it were a ritual of the highest order. He handed it over to her marveling at her already large vocabulary sure that every parent felt the exact same. That their child was special highly intelligent and nearly perfect in every way. Smiling to stall he let her blow and begin chewing before answering. “Well there are still quite a few places we haven’t explored here but the plan is to get going soon and swing by the Children’s museum at Navy Pier. Plus if we have time the DuSable on the way home.” He popped a small bite into his mouth a thought occurring midbite. “Have you ever been to an Art Museum, do you like art?”
