Magic
Hiero knew the validity of its existence. he had even fallen prey to it on a few occasions. It was a wild powerfully disorienting thing. Usually wielded for ill. The magic of these moments with Rayvan were no less disorienting but they were not overwhelming. This space of time he hadn't been thinking of anything but her. Even now his thoughts revolved around her.
The space between them a storm of emotions and need dwarfing all but the most primordial of needs. His life had been forever changed by this raven haired emerald eyed beauty. This whirlwind of promise hopes and wishes. Looking at her was like looking into the cool Christmas mornings he never had as a child. The tree lit with ornaments, lights, and its cut trunk laden with gifts.
She was the promise that what would come would erase all that had been. She was the living embodiment of his wildest hopes and dreams. Laughing inwardly at his daydreaming. He looked into her emerald pools of truth and felt laid bare. He was exposed and unabashedly glad to merely be here with her.
Jokingly but honestly Hiero began,"You've found one. If I might be so bold. I will be your home. And the added benefit is that I will go or meet you anywhere you may need me...Your very one and only home on two legs."

Fate, Destiny, Divine Will or magic call it what one would it all much the same as far Rayvan was concerned at this moment. All that mattered to her was that she was here with him, how she got to this point was of no consequence. The fates had allowed her to be blessed with the love of a lifetime.
One could almost feel the electricity that arched between the two of them. She was surprised that someone could not see it with the naked eye, it was so intense that it had the hair standing up on her arms, had her eyes swimming like limpid pools of nothing but color.
The sun could have risen and set a million times, Rayvan wouldn't have noticed, she was so intent upon the man that sat across from her at the table. The look in his eyes was enough to cause her heart to flip over. His words made her eyes well with tears, but a brilliant thousand watt smile to grace her face. "Then I shall have the best home anyone ever created, in the heart of a man among men. A woman could not ask for more than that. You shall always reside in my soul, and always have a home where ever I may be."

As if ordained by the unseen powers of the world Rayvans words were followeddby an immediate drift of snow hitting the window. Though moved by means decidely mundane the splatter of snow obscured the world beyond the window thoroughly. It washed he and Rayvan in a white backdrop. The snow sliding down the window giving them the appearance of existing in a world solely inhabited by them.
The illusion could not have been more true. The irony was not lost on hiero as he glanced at the window and smiled. He imagined how the two of them must look from outside. As if the heat of their love was melting the snow. Their heat so intense that not even nature itself could douse their flames.
"You are a beautiful woman. I hope that I can live up to all that you deserve..." The rest of his thoughts becoming lost in the arrival of their meal Hiero paused watching Rayvans face. He watched for a waver a flicker he expected that at the least slip of his attentions that this moment would instantly become a fever dream. He'd wake in the preseves cold, alone, and famished.
Hiero fought with himself and finally reluctantly slid his hand from Rayvans so that they might better sate her hunger. Hiero watched more than slightly bemused at the image before him. Rayvan sat behind a platter of eggs toast and grits with butter as wide as she was. He hadn't really thought about the portion sizes when ordering. Now that the meal had arrived however he filed away that important piece of information for later.
"Sorry, I forgot how much Pablo ladles into each meal. We can get doggie bags..."

Sealed in a cocoon of snow and walls, they were for all intents and purposes isolated from the outside world. Of course there were others in the restaurant with them but the spacing of the tables gave Rayvan and Hiero that sense of being alone. There was something about being here with him that had her dreaming of what the future would hold for her.
She watched him smile as he gazed at the window and the snow splattering against the window pane. He had a beautiful smile, and she had a feeling it didn't come out often, it was just a thought but the way she figured it was that he hadn't had much to smile about lately. She knew that had certainly been the case for her, she was happy to know that she at least in part had brought that smile to his face.
"You are a strong man, I hope that I can live up to what you deserve...." She raised her eyes to the waitress as her plate was set before her. Her eyes widened exponentially at the amount of food on the plate. She was as reluctant to let go of him as he was her, eventually though they did separate so that they would be able to satiate their bodies, or at least their stomachs.
She looked at the plate in front of her and then up at Hiero as he spoke and she couldn't help but giggle like a young girl, "Yeah I think I may need a doggy bag, this is probably enough food for me for at least three meals, but don't be sorry Hiero, there is no reason."

Working through his omlete Hiero dabbed his mouth. " Okay so you're new here and so am I in my own way. Where do you stay? I'm amazed that we haven't met before." Hiero knew that everything happened for a reason but it was human to ponder. No sooner had the thought crossed his mind had it escaped his lips.
As they finished what they would of their meals Hiero couldn't help himself reaffrim that Rayvan was actually there. Even as each touch begat another the embers ablaze in the center of him were stoked exponentially. The needs of his stomach faded to nothingness. The needs of his passion began demanding their satiation.

Rayvan worked at her food trying valiantly to eat as much as possible. Nodding to Hiero, "Yeah, I'm pretty new, right now I've got a cheapy little efficiency apartment while I'm looking for a house to buy. I haven't gotten out much until the last few days, so it's understandable that we haven't met until now." She was glad that she had come to Chicago, if not for that she would never have met this wonderful man and lost her heart.
Fingers entwined and eyes locked over and over as they finally finished eating. She couldn't stop touching him, and it seemed she wasn't the only one afflicted with it as he reached time and again to brush a finger across her knuckles or trace across her wrist. She was ready to find a nice quiet place where it would be just the two of them, not just the illusion of being alone.

Hiero didn't wait for the check to arrive. He instead seized the moment the waitress began helping the busboy remove their plates. Slipping what he knew wouldcover their meal andtip into her hand Hiero smiled and nodded. " Rayvan my dear shall we get you home. I'm sure you have things to do tomorrow..."
Standing Hiero offered his hand to Rayvan. Helping her stand Hiero pulled her into a kiss. Rayvan resting against him he poured the heat that raged into her. Cooling his lips against her warm inviting lips. Hieros hands soughtto explore. Restraining himself as much as he could Hiero broke their embrace...

Rayvan saw the slip of money to the waitress and it brought a smile to her face, it seemed she would get her wish of finally being alone with him, outside the prying eyes of the public. "Yes, I do. I have a rather hectic day tomorrow. I go to make my play to join the RPIT squad."
But now at this time, she didn't care about RPIT, or PD or even if she got the job. She just wanted him, to fall into his embrace and while the rest of the day away. She slid her hand into his much larger one and stood, only to be swallowed by his much larger form and swept away in his kiss. The spark that had danced around them all through the day burst into life, turning quickly into a raging inferno that would refuse to be quenched. Her eyes rose to his when their more than passionate kiss was over, knowing that it was just the beginning of something far more powerful.
