A walk in the Park (Open!)

The sun was warm but the wind was stinging cold. Luckily it wasn’t to persistent and she didn’t have to drop her chin much to shield from it. Her hands slipped into her coat pockets, it fell to her shins and she had it tied at the waist. The coat was grey in color and a scratchy materiel on the outside, though soft and silky as well as warm on the inside. She wore four inch black heels, nothing to extreme but they made her legs look nice. Under the coat she wore a red dress, it was a deep red, close to crimson but not quite. The dress was simple, nothing she would wear out, cotton materiel and it had it had its own belt that served no purpose other than style, it was the same red color as the dress. Her hair was left down in wavy curls, more her natural style than anything else.

Her eyes rolled over the park around her, eyeing the lake though she wasn’t as close as she could be. The park was bare, the grass covered in a light snow and the sides of the lake thick with ice. She glanced ahead and there was a small man made skating rink that was a very popular place. She smirked to herself and shook her head as she sighed, she wasn’t too good of an ice skater herself. Moving on she knew the zoos were close by, but she really had no interest in them. Sure she was an avid animal lover but she didn’t like to see those animals stuck in such small areas. She wandered along, her mind adrift within her own thoughts, she had spent to much time inside and it was a nice enough day to bring her out and about.

She stopped at a little cart and got herself a hot chocolate. Sadly there was no whipped cream but it was warm in her bare hands. She had her shields down fully and a few people looked at her sideways as she passed them and her power flicked against theirs. She had decided that she was going to search out some of her own kind, while there might be better ways of going about it this seemed the easiest. It left her open to attack to some degree but she knew how to toss her shields up quickly and she wasn’t so paranoid that she would risk missing any other lycanthropes. They had been growing in number since she had returned but those she had met still seemed scared, they were trying harder than ever to blend and she wasn’t going to do that. She was proud of who and what she was, no reason to hide it.

Ramone had decided to be out and about, he wasn't much for staying indoors anyway. He would much rather be out prowling around town, his beast didn't much like being cooped up and that in turn made him restless. He had come to the park to walk around and let the sun bathe his face, in it's warm rays. It was just enough to offset the sting of the wind, not that Ramone ever noticed that much. He had spent enough time in the colder climates before he was infected to be able to handle it, and after well...it was well known that Lycans bodies ran hotter than normal.

He was dressed in his usual, black fatigue pants and black t-shirt that looked as if it were custom made to fit his rather large frame. Over it all was his black leather coat. Hos eyes were hidden behind dark glasses, for no other reason than that emerald green eyes seem to draw a lot of attention in this particular city.

Suddenly the hairs on the back of his neck stood up, he felt it, that inexorable tingle that meant there was another of his kind close by. He stopped walking and sniffed carefully at the air. The wind was blowing in the right direction to bring her scent right to him She was ahead of him, he started walking again, sniffing at he air every few steps, he was on the right track the scent was getting stronger as well as the feel of the power she possessed. She was definitely a strong one, an alpha, and she was another leopard.

Sadly the gusts of wind were heading downwind and she wasn’t able to keep much scent of anything. She paused and sat down on an empty bench. The cold metal stung on the underside of her legs but it faded fast against her warm thighs. She glanced down the way she had come from, sipping on her hot chocolate as she crossed her ankles and leaned back against the cold metal backing of the bench. While his scent was being kept from her, his power wasn’t. Her eyes had shifted to look ahead of her and at the lovely view of the lake, but it didn’t last long. They were quickly drawn back in the direction she was just looking, her shields were down and the instant she felt him they lifted, but not all of the way. She was being cautious but curious all at the same time.

Her beast was pacing back and forth inside of her, she could feel the brushes of fur against the insides of her body, it was her beasts way of asking nicely to be let out though that wasn’t going to happen and after a little brawl Jordyn would eventually win the battle. She curled both her hands around the cup she was holding, more to focus on something solid than anything else. Her eyes searched the faces of each person that passed, she focused more on the men because this power just didn’t seem to have the delicacy that most female power possessed. Though some of them did glance back at her, her beast quickly made her look away, rejecting them for not being what she was and losing interest quickly. She had the urge to stand up but she didn’t, it was a pulling power but it wasn’t demanding. He might be an alpha, might be powerful, but he might not be the Nimir Raj to her Nimir Ra..another reason she had left home and come back here to start fresh..

He was not far now, though whoever she was had partially erected her shields, he could still smell her. She was extremely close now. His eyes swiveled back and forth taking in all the passersby to see if one of them was who he was looking for. He could see a ways up the strip and he noticed a woman sitting on a bench, watching the crowd that walked by. Was that her? She was a looker that was for sure. He lowered his shields all the way, letting his full power roll out over the park just to see if that got her attention before he presented himself.

He wasn't new to this game and he wasn't going to just plant himself waist deep in the muck if she was not the one he was searching for. He actually hoped she was, one mark in her favor she wasn't a redhead so maybe he could keep his mind above his belt buckle for longer than ten seconds to be able to talk to her. Thinking about redheads had him remembering the girl he had met at the bar. She would be a tasty morsel for sure but he was a Lycan and human women were so fragile.
