Cord had gone over the stipulations of RPITs new largess. It'd caused him no small amount of lost sleep. Several endless hours of trying to return the Trojan horse back to sender. After fighting city hall, the board, and several secretaries all he had to show was sixty percent less muscle mass in his rear end.
He'd purposefully put off holding a group skull session until he'd had as much in place as he could. Unfortunately that moment of perfect clarity and alignment would never appear. He now had to pull what he could from this mess and save as many officers as he could. He wasn't happy with how things turned out but he would salvage what he could.
He'd contacted Crusinski and all of the other officers last night. He'd hated having to contact them on their pseudo personal time to arrange today. The call was necessary as he wanted all of the officers in at the same time. the staggered shift was normally a great thing for a team. However, for the coup that Cord was attempting it'd wreak havoc.
So Cord settled into his cup of coffee and waited for his officers to stroll in...

After being wakened from a torubled sleep Dorian wondered who the hell could be calling him this late? He talk to Cord getting news that he would have to be in earlier than normal because there would be some changes in Rpit. Dorian wondered, would the department take even more funding from them?
The next day after a sleepless night He got out of bed at five a.m to do his normal workout routine so he wouldn't be late. Whatever the changes was played heavily on his mind. He thought that maybe if he could talk to Crusinski he could get at least a hint, so Dorian called his cell hopefully to get some info.

Tak received a call from Cord which was quite the surprise to him. Cord seemed like a simple yet effective sort. Served no future purpose to him. However what Cord wanted could be useful. Tak agreed to meet with him. He already made friends on the force, and was ready to make more.

Cord had called her last night, something was up but she wasn't sure what. She didn't know the Captain well enough to judge anything from the tone of his voice yet but she'd get there. She went to sleep wondering what was going to happen tomorrow at the meeting he was calling. It was obviously important, so she would make sure her little behind was there with everyone else.
Rayvan woke early, even before her alarm went off which in itself wasn't unusual so she showered dressed and threw her hair up into a ponytail. Prepared for the day. She didn't need to hurry she had plenty of time before she had to be there, but she did anyway.

Chance had been down in the motel's excuse for a gym after the work day was over and returned to his room just in time to catch the Captain's call. Cord kept it short and sweet and Chance didn't ask questions.
But after the call was over and he'd showered, he lay in his concrete motel bed, hands behind his head and wondered. Something was up. Captains didn't call in the troops for nothing.
The next morning he was up early, dressed and forcing down the useless continental breakfast, in no mood for finding a breakfast restaurant. Half a gallon of coffee later, he drove to the station, wondering what he'd find.

It had taken longer than expected for Jay to get his bearings around the new city. But less than a week in and the place was beginning to feel like home. He had moved into his new apartment, currently renting while he awaited the sale of his property in San Diego. Though the apartment was not quite what he was used to, he had managed to allow his OCd for cleanliness to get the better of him, and not the apartment looked like a show home. He had received the call late last night, and walking into the station, his black suit trousers smartly pressed and his crisp pale blue shirt equally perfect he straightened his dark blue tie and pulled off his jacket, revealing his pair of shoulder holsters. He had missed the comforting feeling if his twin glocks under each arm and his bright crystalline eyes spotted Cord and he made his way through the cramped chaos that was the RPIT HQ.
"Morning." Jay said, a plastic cup of coffee in one hand, "What we got?"

One thing Tak hated more than anything mortal was coffee. He could smell it in the air and on everyone's breath. It felt like having a throbbing headache walking into RPIT's Headquarters. He saw a couple of familiar faces, and a few newbies. This wasn't the time to press the issue for his goals right now. He was just here to listen and learn.
Using his powers of Chaos, Tak makes all the coffee machines go berserk. It wouldn't lessen the smell much but it would give him momentary relief of the pungent goo.

Cord watched as his Detectives filed in. He reminded silent nodding to each in turn. He didn't want to repeat himself. This was a defining moment of what would become of his beloved RPIT. He could feel the tremors of expectation from them. His people his unit. He hated having to follow the protocols laid out for him but maybe just aybe he could steal victory from what was expected to be a humbling defeat.
Clearing his throat he shuffled the file in front of him closed. Sipping his coffee its warmth long vanished. He opened his mouth to begin," He had no idea what words would fly from his mouth; but he trusted his gut to pull him threw the next few moments. Locking eyes briefly with each office he lingered on Crusinski. His smile perma-frosted onto his face. He hoped the man could take this blow. He hated to lose him but he could understand if he did.
"Okay lady and gents, Many of you already know that the brass has decided to institute some changes to RPIT. Many of you are here as a product of such changes. Whether it be strengthening our ties to our brothers in blue and taking on cases that are not specifically preternatural...," Cord paused looking at Takanashita. The man made the hairs on his head stand at attention. He couldn't place it but he knew the man was dangerous.
"Or bringing in competent sergeants to keep things running smoothly." Cord fixed both Conor and Mayhew with a look. The men were both highly acclaimed within their former departments. He fervently hoped that would remain the case.
" To bringing on new blood to bolster our ranks." Looking to Wolfbaen. She was an unknown quotient he thought she might have the chops. He just hoped that she had the stomach and stamina for the business.
"And sadly a restructuring of our overworked staff." He didn't bother to look towards Blackstone or Crusinski. He knew that both men had already spoken and they would do what they would do.
"Well that was a good opening to my speech. Long winded but good. Its like this... Connor you are now the direct head of the Chicago RPIT Department. You are now Lieutenant grade and these are your men. Mayhew full responsibility as second in command. Crusinski you've been demoted to detective second class and placed on administrative probation. Any hairs breadth out of SOP and you'll be busted back to patrol or fired depending on your LT's recommendation. Wolfbaen your test date has been accelerated you test out tomorrow. Takanashita your request to transfer has been approved pending review by the Taskforces LT. Pending review the partner list is as follows Connor you're with Blackstone, Mayhew and Wolfbaen, Crusinski and Takanashita. Congratulations, condolences and the like all around. These are not set in stone so don't get too bent out of shape by your assignments.Your new Captain hates to repeat himself. By new I mean me..."

Tak was a bit disappointed with his partner. Being partnered with a deadpan was not such a fun idea. However he would be close to the man he was keeping close tabs on. With no expression on his face he congratulated Cord with a stern handshake. He made his way to Mayhew and with a daringly poisoned smiled gave a congratulations and a stern hand shake.
Step one Crusinski had to go. There was no if ands or buts about it. He would have to wait patiently for his time. Hell he had nothing but. There were two possible partners he wanted, and he knew they were weary of him. They would be more then weary after his plans were through.
Taks eyes narrowed. Having destroyed the coffee machines the air smelled better. He flexed his muscles for the task at hand. He walked over to Crusinski and with all the power in his body. Extended his hand. I'm your new partner Takanshita. Hopefully you can show me the ropes. Tak thought he should kill this guy now and get it over with. He couldn't give up the possibilities. For now he would have to play a nice cocky son of a b**ch.

Chance’s eyebrows rose as he heard Cord’s pronouncement. Second in command? Either Donald, his old Captain, had given him a glowing recommendation, or this unit was hard up, he mused. Okay, maybe not fair to himself, but he’d never wanted a command position, really. But it looked like he was stuck with it. He flashed a quick smile to Rayven, then looked over at Conner, their new lieutenant. Then he let his gaze wander over to Tak. The man was clearly not happy with his partnering. But Chance was betting that Tak’s partner would end up less than pleased, too. Just a hunch.
