Andrius had planned to watch the festivities play out. He'd like to see what the monsters of the Midway could wrangle for themselves. The interplay of emotions a delicate and volatile gastronomic feast for him. Then Sorcha arrived and the bubling and simmering emotions threatened to overflow.
Sighing in resignation he would have to make an actual appearance. Using the shadows of the room as his doorway he appeared just out of sight as everyones gaze was directed at Sorcha. He didn't fear for her safety so much as he didn't want an actual fracas to spill forth and with this many beasts so near the surface it was a wonder that one hadn't broken out as of yet. The men and women in the room were all of strong resolve but each wore their emotional vices on their sleeves.
Clearinghis throat for effect Andrius stepped forward the shadows meltingaway from himlike a lovers caress. Smiling he looked each of the gathered over alowing them to each make up in their minds whether he had always been there or had just appeared. " Ladies and gentlmen of the clans... Mistress Katrina is unavoidably detained. She sends her apologies as the Kiss needs to be representation in this Congress of Clans. I am here to fulfill that role... for now. Do begin night grows long..."
That was good to know as the snake and the Lion both held their tongues things were off to a less than negative start. Andrius took note of each of the various clan leaders emotional state in to mind. Before moving to a seat justleft of center. He wouldn't lord over them directly. As he moved he gave the most subtle of nods to the GurKhan. It was only of the faintest inclinations, but to her it was all but an undying pledge. It would calm her and lend her the strength to do what was necessary to make sure peace happened here today...

Simon had not seen this new man arrive and that made him nervous yet dispite that fact he couldn't help but look on in appretiation of his strong masculinity and the curve and play of his muscles as he walked by. He was more than certain that he would notice it but he really didn't care. At the same time He was entranced by the woman in silver who had floated into the room like a stray moonbeam, the way she walked and carried herself, even the way she stood perfectly still, the was no other way to describe her other than glamorous. Simon did not know one one model who wouldn't sell her soul and all her shoes to have even a fraction of what this woman had. The other thing about her that drew her attention was the fact that he had no idea what she was she was definetly not a lycan or vampire, and no human could even hope to imitate that kind of beauty and sexuality, she seemed to have an effect on the emotional atmosphere that wasn't true manipulation but more like insperation that he couldn't explain. A moment later he felt another mind brush over his like a dark hand trying to probe it's way in gentely and unnoticed, someone without his gifts wouldn't have felt it but he did and he instinctivly clamped down his mind to keep the intruder out.

The air was thick enough to cut it with a knife. So many potential friends and enemies so little time. Alex forced herself to remain calm and easy of the gathered lords and ladies of te city she was but a poor distant cousin at best and she wasn't intent on beinga dead relationso she merely watched as whatever would be would be. Her previous rash statement seemed all the more fitting. She felt as if she should have gotten while the getting was good, now it was all but too late. Where was a magical wardrobe when you needed one. Clearing her throat she began again. " I really think we should get on with things if we wait any longer morning will be here and known of us will have time to sleep on whatever we learn here."

Jeremiahs hackles raised at the scent of tiger. He had a score and ahalf tosettle with the clan but he'd hear them out. They had the balls to show buthe wouldn't wait as they drug out this meeting with pomp and circumstance. The rat had made a great suggestion lets get the show on the road. Hehad hoped toseeRanthos here buthe couldn't blame her for not making it. The city was a mess and she obviously had her hands full.
"Okay so if we can get things going... What the hell were you guys doing terrorizing the city? "Benjamin couldn't know what effect his words might have but he would have an answer if it meant he'd have to drag it from the tigers dying lips.

Hiero saw where that line of questioning would lead and decided to step in before the bandwagon of Tiger haters filled. Pitching his voice so that it carried and there'd be no misconstruing anything he said Hiero chimed in.
"First off before we get bogged down in the whys and accusations. Miss," Hiero said addressing the Tiger Queen. " having your son here after his and my history is a piss poor way of moving forward especially in the shape that he's in." Hoping that would be the last word on the subject Hiero continued, "Next we all have our own reasons for being here. So lets not waste time shoveling dirt on our neighbors. We need peace, we need and accord. Evenif its not real at least as long as it looks like it. Right now there is alot of attention being thrown on Chicago and ninety percent of it is not good. My question is everyone here willing to work at the semblance of peace?"
Hiero didn't know definitively where everyone stood; but if he received anything less than a complete affrirmative he would mark that or those clans as an enemy to the whole. He hated having to result to such a heavy handed tactic but he knew that they were effectively at war. Not with each other but against the countless millions that had their eyes on Chicago. He hated to think on what leaps of illogic might be going through the heads of those in power.
He saw most of the outcomes of the Government getting involved turning out horribly. Even if they could keep from jumping to any of their knee-jerk responses the altruism of this countrys government stunk to high heaven. Shaking his head to free it from the grasp of his rational paranoia Joe fixed each of the gathered participants with a glare. It wasn't anangry look butit was determined... It spoke of a determination that bordered zealotry...

"well it goes without saing that i have your back heiro."
hopefully sabin stepping up would break the ice. the thought that began to stir was what if i make enemies will they attack heiro or even worst vise versa.
"i feel that we are all adults and we can find a different way of dealing with our differences than putting our business on display for the normals."
public speaking is normally not what sabin did, unless he needed public money. sabin ran a hand over his hair.
"i fear that if we can not deal with each other quietly, then the other cities will barge into this city with abandon. our numbers are not quite high enought to deal with an all out assult so it would be in all our best intrest to at least look like fight with each other at least to the curious or the casual."
the few seconds of silence was deafening. maybe everyone was letting it sink in. at least sabin hoped that was the case.
