The last year Takanashita remembers this police department was 1920. There was a fierce battle going on with his son Jason and his band of misfits. Being what Takanashita is humans are prey. However he finds them to be more useful then any fur ball, leach, or tinker bell that ever existed. 1920 Jason had Takanashita and his then wife Corazon cornered in the alley of the police station. Trapped and almost dead it was the RPIT Crew that came out of the station and blasted the Misfits of Band Raiders away. The station lost half there crew that night. As fragile as humans are they have courage only befitting of a DRAGON!!! Takanashita threw himself in the earth under the station to heal his wounds, mentally, and physically.
Meagana Takanashita awoke 80 years later from under the earth. Mentally scared, angry, and hungry. Meagana remembers literally eating a detective or two. He felt guilty because they could have been useful tools. These were the same type of detectives that saved his life 60 years earlier, never again would he feed upon them unless totally necessary.
The English Language was a lot different in the 21rst century. He chose to study and adapt to civilization to make his mark. He chose to become a part of society. A useful tool inside to justify the means to his own ends. Takanashita would become a cop.
These were the thoughts running through his head as he was graduating from police academy. Because of his mental, and physical prowess Takanashita had offers from every major agency. Only one thing ran through his mind Chicago was his, and RPIT was the place to start it all.
Today is January 16th 2009 nine years removed from his deep awakening. Now a Field Sergeant of the Homicide Department Takanashita is ready to start making his move. Now he gets the lay of the land
Takanashita is ready to take on tough cases and start recruiting his new army. Every morning he sits at his desk and pretends to drink this disgusting crap looking liquid called coffee. He wonders what the thrill is, however, he has yet to find a person in the department who doesn't drink this stuff. Tak is studying unsolved supernatural cases to see if anything catches his eye.

Chance came out of the lair of the coffee monster, a steaming mug gripped in one hand, the file containing his still not completed report in the other, slapping it softly against his leg. He had a few minutes before he had to dig back into the report, so he lingered, watching the other man sitting at his desk.
Well, he had to get to know the other RPIT officers eventually. And he really wasn't looking forward to the paperwork. How do you write up something like that without making it obvious to all that part of the police work was psychic based? That didn't help to build a good court case, if things would even ever to to the courts.
So, he stepped up to the desk and introduced himself. "Name's Mayhew. Chance. I'm the new Sergeant."

Hi my name is Mayhew the man said to Takanashita. I'm the new Sergeant. Tak wanted to chuckle because of the hair style this Mayhew whore. The I just got out of bed messy hair do. People actually spend money to look like there hair is neatly messy, what an oxy-moron. This with the fact that he carries a cup of steaming goo in his hand just makes for a comical moment. This guy had a look about him that was a mix of confidence, and a set of piercing eyes. Tak knew when he was being sized up and he liked it. Tak likes bright and alert people.
A new Sergeant meant a new ally and Tak knew what he wanted in an ally. Tak stood to shake his hand and to take the case from Searg. Mayhew was stacking up well. Tak needed to know how much, and how far Mayhew's knowledge of the other world he was aware of.
Glad to have you aboard Sarge. If you have any hard cases you need help with let me know. If you need someone to show you the streets please let me know. And Sarge, please keep your coffee out of my office if its hot.

“Oh, I’m new to Chicago, but not to RPIT,” Chance said smoothly, shaking the man’s hand and then deftly retrieving his file from the other man’s grip. “Sorry, still working on that one.” Chance kept his face pleasant, but he wondered that the other man hadn’t given him his name.
“I may take you up on information about the city. I’m working on memorizing the map, but there’s still a lot to get straight. And sorry about the coffee. I tend to always have a mug of it in my mitt, and I prefer it hot.” He stepped back, wondering. The man had a cup of java on his desk. Why worry about Chance’s coffee?
There was something different about this one, Chance decided. RPIT attracted a vast assortment of types, but Chance couldn’t peg this one right off. It bothered him a bit, but he filed it away for later digesting, when he had more time. Time. There was never enough of it.

Rayvan climbed the stairs to the floor that was devoted to RPIT, she had been downstairs checking files on the clans around town. She needed to find Chance and tell him what she had found out. She saw him standing inside an office next to a desk with another man, a very big man. Most men dwarfed Rayvan but this man would make her look like a mouse standing next to a mountain.
She had pulled her hair up into a high ponytail and it now hung down the back of her head and swung freely when she walked. She approached the two men, assessing the new man with an eye that gave nothing away. "Hey Sarge, i found out some valuable info on the case that we might want to check out." She stopped in the doorway of the office, for some reason having an leery feeling about entering, she wasn't sure if it was the size of the man behind the desk or something else, but the hair on the back of her neck stood on end.
She locked eyes with the huge man, "Hello Sir, Wolfbaen, Rayvan." She didn't say anything else and she didn't offer her hand, with the back lash of her earlier experience in the morgue still riding her pretty hard, she wasn't able to maintain her shields as she normally would have and didn't want to chance touching anyone right now.

Takanashita noticed Mayhew take a look at his coffee, as if to say you have coffee why can't I. Tak was confident that if he looked at the coffee then he saw his name tag on his desk. Tak could have announced his name but that's just not his style. The crook of his mouth lifts up ever so slightly to reveal a dark smile indeed.
To further show his hidden disdain Tak takes his coffee and pulles a sip. So Sarge anything you need to brief me on. If not you have a nice day. Tak wondered if his subtle actions made the guy suspicious. Tak wanted to see this guy in action, and he needed to see it soon. Mayhew had potential and that smelled like sweet nector.
Right when he was rudely about to turn his back a woman walked, Hello Sir, Wolfbaen, Rayvan. She was saying other things to Mayhem but they were not important to him. They seemed very connected in a unique and casual way. Tak never expected to have two people to size up so soon.
After there conversation Mayhem is dismissed and dissed, with Tak announcing himself to Ms. Rayvan. Hello my you can call me Tak, would you like some coffee. He knew Mayhem would get the pun.

Another man might have been ticked off, but Chance just smiled a quiet smile and leaned in the doorway, waiting for Rayven. He’d worked with touchy shifters at his old RPIT, and this guy was apparently doing a dominance thing. He didn’t come off as shifter, but he did come off as arrogant and that was something Chance was long familiar with.
The big man was annoying, Chance decided, but then maybe, just maybe, he was as good a cop as he’d like Chance to believe. He settled in, sipping at his own coffee, waiting to see Rayven’s reaction to the man.

Rayvan's eyes slid from Chance to Tak and back again, "Tak it is then, no I don't think I would like coffee I have had enough for the day to drown a mule, thanks for the offer though." This man was a piece of work, a walking wall of arrogance. She had not missed the obvious dismissal of her partner and STO. Emerald green eyes flashed dangerously for a nanosecond, if there was anything she hated more than disrespect to herself, it was disrespect to people she liked as friends and colleagues.
Rayvan never smiled at the man behind the desk, hoping he would take the hint that she was not the least bit interested in being friends or anything else. He may be her superior and she may have to show him respect within the office but she had no inclination of being familiar with him outside of work. There was something not right about him, she just couldn't get a handle on it the moment. Turning back to Chance, "Anyway, when you get a minute, I need to talk to you about the case." Giving Tak a nod, "Sir, pleasure now if you'll excuse me I have work to get done." Then she turned on her heel and made to leave the office.

Tak's assumption was right about Ms. Rayvn. The Sarge and she were connected, obvious by the fact that she refered to him as Sir. He could see the discontent in her eyes as she noticed Tak's slight of the Sarge. Tak knew that if he wanted to move her, he could just move the Sarge and she would follow. Her eyes were protective and serious. Reminded him of his former wife. Corazon gave that same look to Carinthius. Half the time Corazon followed me just to make sure he didn't stab me in the back.
The Sarge finally took a sip of his coffee outside the office and he had to laugh to himself. Tak knew he got under the Sarge's skin just a little. He knew it wouldn't be long before the Sarge would do a background and maybe do a bit of follow up. Tak was counting on it.
Tak picked up his coat ready to do some follow up in the field. He nodded at Ms. Rayvn and left. On the way out he said to the Sarge till next time and gave his million dollar smirk. He didn't wait for a respose. He saves those for people who actually gave a f*ck.
Walking a way he takes a peek at Rayvn and returns he smile from earlier. She would one day follow his lead, and all he had to do was move Mayhem. What was this guy made of? Tak would find out soon. Very soon.

Chance nodded with infinite politeness to Tak’s comment, thinking to himself, Anytime, big guy. Chance wasn’t into the posturing that many cops thrived on. He was confident of his skill and of his talent.
Idly, he wondered what Rayven might pick up off this guy. Chance’s curiosity was up and he was planning to check the man out, thoroughly. Chance also caught the backward glance toward Rayven and suppressed a frown. Was Tak hitting on her? Somehow, Chance didn’t think so. Not in the usual way, anyway. What was his game?
