It had been several days since Danika had met Ray and somehow or other ended up in his bed. In no way did she regret it but her problem now was that she was restless. He had given her a way to get in touch with the Kashyapa, she just had yet to do it. She had been walking back and forth across her hotel room for the last two hours when she decided she needed to get out and go walking or possibly running if the mood struck her.
Within the first two days of her arrival she had spotted the lake but hadn't yet visited it so that's where she was headed now. It wasn't as cold out as it had been lately but she was still wearing her heavier jacket along with black leggings under her jeans to keep in the heat. Being a lycanthrope she was a lot warmer then any human but she really didn't like to be cold and she was wishing she had grabbed her scarf but it was a bit late to turn around and get it.
She doubted anybody would be out at the lake in the early hours of the morning so Danni figured she could lower her shields a little and actually enjoy however long she was out there. The grass under her boots was slightly crunchy from the thin layer of frost settling on the ground but it didn't bother her. Plus if anyone were to walk her way it would be hard to sneak up her unless of course they could somehow hover.
Standing in front of the lake Danni looked out over the water and breathed in deeply and had to wrinkle her nose at the cold air. The wind chose that moment to blast past her sending chills down her spine. With a bit of a shiver she pulled the hood of her jacket up to cover her head and ears and pulled the strings to make it harder for the wind to do that again. With a silent curse pointed at the cold weather she set out on a slow walk following the line of the lake.

Sabin had a few spys follow this Alpha level bear ever since word came in that she had hit town. Her arrival was mentioned in passing from the streak. Sabin had already spoken with the bears, They were hopeful that she could take over from Sabin. It was unfortunate but Sabin understood the need they needed an Ursa not a snake playing as a Ursa, the money helped with the repairs of the medical equipment. It was funny how quickly medical equipment wears out when lycanthropes are involved. But If she was to take over than that brought into question where her loyalties would lie, as well as the bears. The bears were a pillar of the community without then providing medical care, It would become increasingly difficult for the lycanthropes in Chicago.
That thought along made Sabin almost want to shove her out of the city, Sighing he let that thought die on the floor. he owed it to the bears to let them grow and become whole. If she was the alpha that Sabin and the bears had hoped he could see not much if anything changing. Perhaps as a provision Sabin to make sure she understands how vital her clan's role is to the lycanthropes of the City. The trick was to make sure she did not try to use it as leverage against the others of the city. That was another thought Sabin could not allow his mind to focus on if this meeting would have any hope of being a success.
Sabin tighten his aura around his masking his power he figured it would not fool her for very long but perhaps he can get a read on her before she could do the same to him. Sabin could feel the warm heat of the bear. Sabin walked to her side far enough away that he was out her arm reach. but close enough that he could speak to the new were.
"Good morning. what brings you out this early?"

Danni became increasingly aware of the lycanthrope headed her way. She wasn't all that familiar with the scent wafting from the unknown man but it reminded her of a snake. Which in all likeliness meant that this was the snake she was looking for. She pulled herself together bringing her aura back in even though he probably knew enough about her to not even bother but it was a well learned habit. She wasn't sure what to expect from this meeting but it was a good bet it would be rather involved.
She was well aware that she didn't know much about what was actually going on within the city, all she had to go off of were rumors. But even with the rumors all saying basically the same thing that didn't actually do her any good based off the fact that she had no one to ask what was true and what wasn't. She stopped her walk and waited for him to join her but she didn't turn to face him until he stopped just out of arms reach. With their proximity it was hard to miss that he was in fact trying to hide just how powerful he was. Had he been much further away she might have mistaken him for one of his lower nest members.
Danika lightly brushed his aura with hers testing his strength, she wasn't trying to anger him she just wanted to get a better feel of him as a whole. At the same time she let her eyes travel down his body and back up before meeting his eyes. As the wind blew lightly she caught the faint scent of vampire and was vaguely curious about it. She waited for him to say something and when he did she shrugged slightly "Its a rather cold morning but I was feeling restless and figured a walk would help. What about you?"

Sabin felt the bear shields tighten her aura touched Sabin gently, it was almost as if she wanted to see if he was real. if it was someone who had taken an offensive posture Sabin would have killed them immediately, however Sabin smelled hint of lingering pride on in the air. It caused Sabin to raise an eyebrow over that. His mind running through different scenarios.
'Had She met Hiero?' As that was normally the correct answer. If a new woman entered the town and smelled of lion it was normally a safe bet she ran across Hiero. A slight smile crossed his lips, of course this was not the time or place for that. Sabin did not was to assign her any measure of amicability grown from a friend that she nor he had mentioned. So best to politely ignore what was not said and focus on what was said. Sabin cleared his throat before speaking.
"Actually as much as I hate the cold, this is the best time to get out. It's quite It's the only time I get to clear my head of the previous day's events. What about you?"
Sabin truly did hate the cold. unlike all the other beast. Sabin had to actually bundle up doubly before going out. As they all were warm to hot blooded animals which kept them warm. Sabin was a cold blooded lycanthrope, which meant the winter's chill really cut through to the core. It was not something that Sabin would actually tell any of the other animals, but it was the reason most of the Nest's were found in the south or Caribbean. Sabin scented her before he had approached her she was bear. a strong bear at that. Sabin thought about allowing his aura to answer hers but as it stood it gained him very little. Sabin though of a better way.
"My name is Doctor Shaw. What is yours?"
