As normal, at this hour of the night Sabin listened to the lake crash on the rocks. it provided the a great backdrop for Sabin to realign his thoughts. Many of his plans were moving alone as expected, however one of the main ones did not run quite as he had wanted. The so called prince is fighting as hard as he can to stay hidden within his little hidey hole. Sabin had tried everything he could think of to lure that little bastard out of hiding but it was of no use at the moment. even the vampire council are not applying pressure for him to do anything.
The amount of time Sabin had left to spend on Sion was getting shorter, soon Sabin would need to step away again to deal with Paul. Sabin knew that if he did not strike soon he would lose his nest in the Caribbean. He had ran guns, supplies and support aid to them, Since Kisa went to ground, the guns have taken longer to get there. The backwater channels to get supplies was drying up and few would oppose Paul in open conflict. The nest their king it was simple as that. Sabin needed to tidy up his business their was nothing left to say besides that.
Sabin leaned against the rocks trying to put those thought to the side, images of Isadora danced in his head. in a way he wished that she was with him, however he knew that he needed time to himself to think. it was the reason he stayed here instead of going to a populated area. silence was where he liked to think, when it was quite he could plot and plan. also with all the movement in the city Sabin began thinking where he should put his attention. it was a dark quite night in a way he would not mind company, but with the area being closed he didn't expect company

Ro had told Adrian that he needed to work on his conditioning. It wasn’t said in a manner that Adrian could take it as anything but an honest suggestion. He had noticed that the Rex had been working out more with Ray and when he’d inquired what all of the preparations were for the Rex just mentioned his conditioning. He didn’t know what the Rex was up to but he took the suggestion to heart. He knew that the Rex did a ten mile run at least three times a week, he wouldn’t even dream of such a taxing run. He would however take up jogging. So he’d done just that. So far this was his third run in the last week and he was pretty pleased with his progress. He found it was easier to get a jog in from the garage as he could take Madison straight to the lake front and either go north or south. It meant that he could run get a little peace clear his mind and sort out what he would do now that he had his sister back in his life.
He usually had the space to himself so it was with some surprise he felt an alpha lycanthrope near at hand. It was even more of a surprise to have that same source of energy be the head of the nest. He had seen the man speaking with Ro but he had never had a conversation with the man. Not to mention that he was in nowhere near dressed to meet anyone especially an alpha anyone. Adrian knew that if he felt the snake that he had been sensed as well. No sense he figured in being rude so he would swing by say hello and continue with his jog.
Waving as he approached calling out so as to better announce his presence. He didn’t want Sabin to believe he was sneaking up on him or even attempting to. “Hey, there. Sabin isn’t it? I’m Adrian with the Pride how goes the navel gazing?”

Sabin looked up from his introspection. It was Isadora's Great grandson and Isabella's brother. He found himself with Hiero and the Pride. Sabin saw him working around Joe's when he was there but they never had a chance at a word. He seemed to be working out. It was a bit of good news.
"Hey yourself Adrian. What brings you out in the shadows?"
Sabin stood humanly slow. it was more for show as no one knew who was watching. So it was often good to just do things at the normal speed. looking at the outfit that Adrian was wearing it was obvious that he was on a run. It must have been a pride thing everyone had to run. Sabin smiled at his own joke.
"So how are you adjusting in the city?"
Sabin figured that everyone was doing well at the pride house. oddly he hadn't dropped in for a visit since he felt his life was in danger. Perhaps he should drop by for a social visit. That wasn't a though he had in a while, being so wrapped up in vampire politics that he forgot about living. he would need to make a mends on that soon.
"While I'm not exactly dressed for it, would you mind some company on your run?"

The fact that Sabin looked at him as if he recognized Adrian. Adrian thought that of course he should if from nothing more than around the garage when he came to talk with Ro. The monster he’d brought in had the whole garage happy for a couple of shifts. Adrian was sure it something more there to the look but he wouldn’t dare ask. While Sabin might have been Ro’s ally as far Adrian knew Ro’s rule of respecting the Prides allies only had to be honoered by the Pride. So yeah there was that Adrian thought. He’d always liked snakes but ever since Eddie Johnsons water moccasin had gotten a hold of his arm he’d been a little gunshy.
"Uh well just taking a quick run during my break. Didn’t mean to interrupt you, but I’d love the company."

"Actually I can’t really say. I think I’m getting on at a nice pace but I am really just at the garage. The ride there and a few rides taking in the sights not much else really. Probably need to get back out there and see some more of the city. Maybe take my sister out and have cocktail or maybe play some pool. You been here awhile any good places stand out to play a little nine ball."
Adrian jogged in place giving Sabin a chance to warm up before they continued on the next leg of his jog.

Sabin began to stretch, It didn't take much for Sabin's muscles to loosen. Being a doctor it always unnerved him how quickly his muscles primed for action. matching Adrian as closely as he could. Sabin allowed the lion to set the tone. As long as it was at a human pace Sabin would match. Although Sabin forte was explosive burst of speed, the need for stamina was not lost on him.
Running was not something Sabin could do alone as his mind would run in seventy different directions if he didn't focus, an running seem to have the opposite effect on him. Sabin would much rather lift weights of workout in his gym at the compound where he could concentrate on speed drills.
"So where are we jogging too? I think I have four or five miles in me."
Sabin said with a smile. Sabin wanted to know how much Adrian knew about his family before any details were given and this was the best way. Sabin wondered what would it be like to be a beta, it would make for an interesting scientific trial. So Far Sabin was prepared to put the beast in a temporary coma until he returned from his trip, luckily it had not come to that. Although if he could somehow misplace that which made him a Kashyapa for a while to experience being a beta it might bring a deeper understanding of what the lycanthropy virus is and could it be managed or manipulated.
Perhaps watching some of the others less powerful people would provide some that no one else could. perspective. Which to Sabin was worth more than anyone could realize.

Watching as Sabin began to stretch, Adrian knew it was time to get out there and meet someone. He was leering like a schoolboy with his first crush. It wasn't as if Sabin had dressed to titillate. He was dressed nicely but that seemed to be his style. Forcing himself to watch the waves he jogged in place getting his heart rate back up some. Gauging Sabin as ready to go Adrian began at a slow pace to really give him a chance to get going. He was sure that his infection had him at a good state of preparedness. Sadly he'd learned that even lycanthropes muscles built up lactic acid and tore. He was sure that he'd stretched his hammy the second day he'd been at it. Their increased stamina made over doing it all too easy.
"I usually go north until the band shell then back. Doing it twice is three miles, I'm dressed for it so you can set the pace and distance. Wouldn't want to ruin a Tom Ford would we? I think I have four or five miles in me." Adrian said motioning with his head towards Sabin's attire. In truth he had no clue who the designer was. He was only using the name to say Sabin was overdressed and he appreciated the company. Ro had sworn them all to respect the allies of the Pride as if they were Pride which would make Sabin Hiero and as such Adrian would do everything he could to make sure that Sabin was not doing anything to upset him.
"I've seen you at the shop talking to Ro any chance you know your way around an engine. We could always use more hands. Ro has been spending less time in the shop." Adrian caught himself prattling like a dodgy old bird. Swallowing his words with some air Adrian forced himself to allow sSabin a chance at speaking while matching his pace to the snakes.

The coolness of the night was pushed back by Sabin's muscles building up pace. He easily fell into step with Adrian, matching him stride for stride. While his was rode on the rhythmic wave of jogging his mind rapidly approaching Mach 2. It was just a reminder of why Sabin avoided repetitive exercises his mind always ran away with him. His thoughts were on Isadora and if she was okay at the moment. He knew that she truly needed him she would call but the fact that she did not left Sabin somewhat worried. He both hated and loved the fact that she occupied that much space in his heart. because she and Heiro would be considered his weak spots and this lion was a lynchpin to both of them. knowing that was both hugely unnerving and extremely liberating, admitting it meant it was understood and measures could be taken to correct it.
"Well I believe I can handle that." Sabin said with a smile. "Don't worry about the clothes, I've ruined better than this drinking with the Rex. This is about as close to O.T.R (off the rack)as I get." Very few things brought Sabin as much enjoyment as hanging out with the Rex but their difference in styles often led the clothes being incinerated more often than not. So Sabin had to segment his clothes as Heiro appropriate or not. those everyday incidentals were normally clothes that could be destroyed when he has actual business those clothes hide in a separate closet. That only is opened when he was fairly sure that he would not run into clan or pride business.
"The extent of my knowledge of an engine is where the key goes." Mechanics was one of the few things that Sabin had zero aptitude for. He could map the lycnthrope genome, could operate and save a dying wolf, been splicing the cells of vampiric DNA to see if new powers were created. but put an engine block in front of him and he was instantly lost. "The things that you guys do at the shop is amazing, but truly beyond my scope." As the streets passed by slowly, Sabin thought to get some information to see what he should say or what he should keep to himself.
"So Adrian let me ask you a question. First how many relatives do you have in the city? " Sabin knew of Izzy and Isadora but he wanted to know if Adrian knew.
"I believe it might be safer if you ran at a gym, or some place that was safer. the reason is not to emasculate you in any way but the Pride and the Nest are engaged with ... "lengthy discussion" with the leader of the kiss, and every advantage as the saying goes."
Sabin did not want to tell him that he was the lover of Adrian ancestor, or that they were all involved in a shadow war to dispose of Sion and he could be used as a pawn. He just wanted him to be careful and mindful. This was not to Say that Sabin could not be touched, but Sabin had a higher survivability rate.

Adrian wasn’t a gabber normally unless he was nervous which was weird because if he got too nervous he would clam up tighter than a crayfishes sphincter. That alone let him know that the snake did make him nervous some. Not enough to have this tongue turn to stone but enough where a barrage of words sat on his tongue competing for release. That was until the question of his relations. Then his blood ran cold as ice and twice as shocking. Everything else went right with the wash. The compliment he'd been paid the small question of his safety all of it dissipated in his mind as Sabin's question hung there between them.
"No offense Sabin but I don’t know how to answer that." Adrian said as his pace slowed without him meaning it. "I do have a relation in the city. I’m wondering how you might hit on that especially as one of the mechanics at the garage said my accent is about as Chicago as Mint Juleps. So I know that its not me that would make you think I have family here and you said how many. So again I am left wondering why ask such a question in such a way. Again I really mean no offense but can I ask why you’d ask that question in such a way?" He’d watched as Sabin was as quiet as a vampire while his mind worked the question made his neck hairs raise up. He knew his sister was a handful and had her agency had she accidentally ran into something to do with Sabin. He hoped not he prayed not. He would defend his sister to the death and that’s surely what it would be. Even shielded as he was it was obvious that Sabin was a Rex level snake. That would spell the death of him and he wasn’t sure he would be avenged or sister would be protected.
"I love my family very much both my lycanthrope family and my blood relations, so again I don’t mean any offense its just I worry about them an awful lot."

Sabin stayed in step waiting for Adrian to both mentally and physically catch up. His indecisive nature, the multiple thoughts all competing to betrayed the information that Sabin was looking for. He only had one relative, which meant he hadn't any knowledge of Isadora because it was known that Izzy was in town. Sabin did not want to have that conversation with Adrian until Isadora did, however as embattled as she was trying to be a master of the city it had not allowed much in the way of free time. At least that was Sabin's guess on it. "I understand that it was an odd way to phrase, and for that I apologize."
Sabin took a few seconds to decide how to phrase the next statement. He did not want to tip his hand any but information had to get out in the open. this was indeed a security risk and If I was in the shoes of Sion, I would have started with Adrian especially since and ancient Fae was around the possibly protecting Isabella. and Sabin was an alpha level snake leaving the weakest link to be Adrian. Although the other half of the equation would be how much would he want to start a war with the pride. Then again if war is already on...
"Well lets just say that there is a small minority within the Kiss that are having problems with Hiero and myself. That group of the Kiss while small is very desperate any advantage that it could gain would be of tremendous help."
Sabin left the rest to hang in the air. while there was much more to say, It was not Sabin's story to tell, and so he would allow that to unfold the way it should. Sabin added a bit of speed, he wanted Adrian to pick up the pace and the best way was to add speed then slow down instead of saying something.

The way Sabin picked and chose his words as if he was making sure there weren't any worms or crawlies in the bright red apple he offered made Adrian think of the Evil queen and Snow White. It made his neck hairs stand up even more. Something else was going on in the conversation and in Sabin's thoughts. That double conversation and its hidden meanings scared Adrian right down to long drawers and back. He wasn't the brightest tool in the shed but he was far from dull which meant that Sabin was purposefully holding information just outside his reach. There was nothing to do but ask. Sabin had tolerated his question this far even if he answered more cryptically than a rubik's cube made out of hieroglyphs.
"I don't think there is any reason for you to apologize for me being slower than a snail going uphill backwards. I'm sorry I ain't as quick on the uptake but d'ya mind if I ask another question. Seems as if the conversation got away from me and I don't want to lie even accidentally. It wouldn't be polite and my mama always said be nice even if the nicest thing you can say is goodbye."
Adrian smiled even as his heart was racing. Not from the jog but from the chance that he could misstep in asking what he really wanted. He didn't know exactly what question to ask, Sabin hadn't left many clues he could grab a hold of. He could piece it together that it wasn't about any of the Pride because Sabin would have gone to Ro for that. He was the boss after all. So that being understood or at least guessed off the list Adrian puzzled at the matter of Iz. Maybe she hd somehow sided with Sabin and Ro against the vampires Sabin hinted at. That had to be the matter but why ask it in such a round about manner.
"I really don't know how to ask the question thats on the tip off my tongue but escapes my words. So do you mind if I ask a few lead in questions so I can right it in my head?"
Realizing that Sabin had begun adding speed he feared the answer would be a resounding no but he kept pace and waited for Sabin's response.
