Sybil smiled while she finished walking to the place she was to meet her coworkers, yes she was running late but it wasn’t her fault as she moved to the little café right outside the History Museum. Great they were not there it was the court all over again, sighing as she tried not the let herself get too upset. Sighing she was used to the fact of getting stood up and figured that she was going to be the running joke at the hospital now. It was her first day off since she ran a seventy-two already and she was going crazy already, there was already two surgeries both of her patents pulled through and were doing well. Though part of her still remembered the reason why she came to Chicago and how she failed that family, growling a bit as she walked inside out of the cold. Moving to the counter as she ordered a latte and a lemon cake giving them her name; paying while she waited her eye took in the quaint little shop here. The sight of it was calming as she blinked her drying eyes trying to get her contact wet again, reaching in her bag and pulled out her drops using them quickly like she learned. It was funny to her that she could heal wounds that could kill, hell she even stopped the reaper in his glory once but she could not glamour or do anything else but make plants spring up better around her. She chuckled at the thought of it and noticed that she was a healer that worked with earth, she was a wimpy Gaia. They called her name as she moved to the counter and grabbed her drink and cake as she moved closer to the front window then slipped outside on the porch where a gas heater was. Moving to a table there as she sighed hating the fact she had nothing here really other then it was closer to her mother and the court. So it would be easier if they called and needed her, thought they could always step in-between and get her. It happens once when Sybil was finishing her last year of college; someone got hurt in a duel and was near death. They sent some one as she went with them, it made her so very sick to do it but it was faster than other ways of travel. She healed the lord and was sent back to her dorm she got physical ill and had to take two sick days, the school knew who she was since the King himself paid for her education. It helped the court out more and it was an convince for her to learn more. Sometimes she wondered what would happen if she walked away from the court all together but she couldn’t do it without going to the Unseelie and there was no way she would. She was stuck this way since she stopped aging a few years back now so she was stuck, though she found she was still easily hurt and didn’t have the resilience of the full bloods. She was almost killed in a car accident though she can handle cold metals better than them and she loved that little bit and it seemed to upset some of them. Taking a sip of her coffee while she stared out at the setting sun smiling, well she wanted to relax some too bad the museum was about to close or she would go over there and take a look. Laughing at the irony of it all as she shook her head the sound of it was almost like Fairy Chimes and seemed to call those who knew what it was. She was an outcast with the court and she was one here too, it seemed they loved her to heal them but with her peers here they seem to know she was hiding something that they wanted to know so they tricked her like this for punishment. Knowing the director of the hospital knew what she was but he didn’t feel the need to tell the rest of the team and she didn’t either. Sometimes Sybil would find one of the groupies that wanted a Fea or was worst addicted to them and they would hound her. She wasn’t in a mood to deal with that or worst a Stalker again, she dealt with one after she first came into the human world around nineteen and started school. It scared her but she felt bad for the girl who needed help, she hope she got it. The worst part her stalker was her roommate it made thing awkward in the end, but at least the house mother let her have her own room from then on.

Izotz yawned and stretched, pushing away from his desk and looking at the time. The museum was about to close and he still had several hours of cataloging left to do tonight before he could even think of going home. Not to mention that he had to stop by Trelana's to check on her before he could crawl into his own bed to do the whole day all over again tomorrow. At least tomorrow he had a class coming in for him to teach. He enjoyed the few days a week when the local college sent the archeology class over for him to have some help with the cataloging of new artifacts that were supposed to arrive in the morning. It would save him a great deal of work tomorrow night. Standing, he pulled his jacket on and walked out of his nice cold office and walked through the halls of the museum, talking to the employees to see if they had gotten all of the patrons out for the night. Once he was sure they had, he slipped out the front door and began to head toward the coffee shop just down the street so that he could have a little caffeine and something sweet before he dove into the new collection they had arrived last week that he hadn't had a chance to get to yet. The cold night air felt good and he wished that he didn't have to wear the jacket to appear human. He would have loved to run around in nothing but the T-shirt and jeans in the cool night air. He might have to babysit Trelana now, but maybe he could convince her to go on a trip to Siberia with him so that he could run through the snow barefoot again. He had enjoyed that. He walked through the front door of the coffee shop and smiled at the girl at the counter as she held up the cold coffee that he drank. ”Yes, yes, I know, I'm predictable. Thanks, dear.” He handed her the money and took his coffee and muffin to go sit on the cold patio, as he always did. He ran his fingers through his short hair, cut short as a way to show that he had been disgraced and no longer a favored amongst the Shining throng. He hated that, but he could always work on growing it back out again. It would take a few years, but it would be worth it in the end to be a true Fey male again. Shaking his head, he stood on the patio when he felt it, the pull of another Fey. It wasn't as strong as if it had been a pure Fey, but it was still there. He turned his head and he saw the blond hair sitting at the few tables outside that actually had heat with them. He avoided them most of the time, but he knew that blonde hair. Then she turned to him and he had to smile, walking over to the girl. ”Little Sybil Andrews, it has been a long time. The last time I saw you, you were barely a teenager.” That had been the only time that he had been back to the Mounds in the fifty years since his banishment, but she still looked very much the same as she had then. ”What are you doing in Chicago?”

Sybil looked up at the sky that started to darken as she sighed watching her breath hang in the air. She loved the chilly nights like this they always called to her slowly to come out and play. Bringing her coffee to her lips as she blew on it to cool it a littke then took a sip letting the warmth move through her body from the one sip. Her eyes glazed over even through the contacts as she sighed, she just wanted a friend. Not a lover just a damn friend is that too much to ask these people? She heard some one call her 'Little Sybil Andrews' turning a smiled touched her lips as she let out a giggle. Well wasn't this lucky, she could have coffee with some one anyways now. Her eyes moved up and she jumped up her eyes grew wide as she saw him. Izotz, her mother said her was a good person even if the king was blind to it. Her grandmother even liked him saying he was nice but that was about it, though her grandmother never talked much and when she did it was rarely she was once concreted the Oracle of Apollo. So when she talked Sybil listened to what she said it helped her alot through the years as she grew. "Oh my stars and garters its nice to see you again Izotz. You look very handsome as always it seem..Ummm well I came here to start my Resident at the Hospital not to far from here. You know its a lost closer then LA was and being close to my mother and all if they need me I can just pop over and Heal them then come back here...Oh Wait you left before my hand manifested didn't you? My mother was so proud when I was given a title even." She turned blood red as she realized shes been rambling on, she coughed some as she tried to cover it all up. Laughing at herself as she shook her head looking up at him there was the twinkle of play in them, sometimes she could talk a mile a second. Sybil was still a little upset that she was stood up by those evil co workers of hers but maybe the night was looking up after all. Maybe she could have a conversation and not have to be careful what she said. Wondering if he heard of her achievements and the things she did, the King was proud of her after all and even offered her to the QUeen of the Dark Court if she needed Healing. That in itself was rare when that happen her mother got her title back that was stripped from her for giving birth to Sybil. She wasnt her mothers Bane anymore but the one that her mother love at least in the court eyes, the truth was her mother always loved her.

Izotz smiled at the giggle that she let out when he called her 'Little Sybil', as he had always called. He had known young Sybil's mom and grandmother for many centuries before Sybil had even been thought of. Both of the women had been friends of his in their youth, his youth, however you wanted to look at it. He smiled as she jumped when she finally looked at his face and realized just who had been talking to him. He was glad that he had provided someone with a little surprise today. He ran his fingers through his shorn hair, wondering if she noticed or if she knew what it meant before giving her a smile and trying to clear his mind of all the negative thoughts about his hair and his banishment behind him as he looked her over. She had indeed grown up in the last few years, he would give her that much. He gave a bow as she spoke about how well he looked. ”You are looking very well, Sybil. You have indeed grown in beauty since the last time that I laid eyes on you.” He smiled at her as she began to ramble about what she had been up to since the last time he had seen her. He slipped into the seat in front of her as she was talking, making sure that the heater wasn't blowing on him before making the wind and cold pick up just around himself so that he was the only one feeling the cold. Then she asked if he had left before her hand manifested and he felt his face fall, giving her a sigh. ”There was no leaving for me, Sybil, I was banished from Faerie. I have since been accepted back, but it is still a very sore spot that everyone thought I left willingly. I did not.” He hadn't wanted to leave, he had wanted nothing more than to spend a few days a month learning at the human universities. Shaking his head to clear the negative again, before giving her a soft smile. ”If you are healing, then you have the Hand of Flesh? That is a truly amazing gift for one such as yourself to have. I have no doubt that Sesheta and Navinea are very proud of you, they should be. That is a great skill to have.” He couldn't explain to her how happy he was as well. She had been one of the few young ones that he had actually gone back again Taranis's wishes to meet, mostly because of her mother and grandmother insisting that she meet, as they called it, 'a real god'. He had thought it was funny that they would still consider him a god, but that was then and this was now. He had free reign to talk to any Fey that he wanted now, and he was more than happy to talk with Sybil. ”How are Sesheta and Navinea doing these days? I have meant to make a mirror call to them since coming back into Faerie, but I have yet to have the time with cataloging at work and teaching.”

Sybil took a breath as she watched him as he complemented her looks while her cheeks started to red. Knowing it was a custom for the Fae but still she's been long enough for it to make her blush. He moved in front of her and sat down noting he stayed in the colder part of the table, her eyes scanned him as a healer would to make sure he was ok, then she looked at him as a woman. Yes he was attractive but to her since her mother always talked about him she looked at him more of as one would a favorite uncle. Smiling at him though she kept her babbling up, her mother always that she lacked sense. If she was smart she would shut up but she kept talking but stopped as his face feel, her eyes took a apologetic tone to them through the contacts that hid the true color of them. She didnt know he had not left of his own free will since her Grandmother and Mother never told her that , they told her nothing about that or anything about what happen. " I am sorry I didnt know...Mother never told me neither did grandmother...I been away studying my brains out. I finally was allowed to leave to get my PHD, then the King orders me to learn all I can about healing then to train the other healers of what I learned out here." Very voice was softer as she took a sip of her drink, convincing the king to let her go was hard and she paid a price but she healed and now was at his beck and call whenever he needed her. She wrinkled her nose to him as she made her little face that always seemed to brighten people up, the children loved it when she did it but she wasn't messing with a child she was trying it on a Fea who was alot older then her. She nodded to him as she remembered they were not at court and she could say what she really felt. "To tell the truth they didn't care, they are different from the rest of the court who see me only for my hand. They see me and are what a family should be. I was happy for one such as I to have it since everyone thought I would have a hand like Sesheta...more of the earth base. I shocked them all. A self satisfied smirk touch her lips as she spoke to him about it, it was hard to shock the courts like she did but she did it with a whirl storm. Her eyes got a play tint to them while she took another sip then soften as he mentioned her family again. "They would love to hear from you...Mother still talks about you like you are a long lost brother that she misses and Grandmother said you are one of the only males in court with any brain. I dont understand why they put up with my grandmothers sharp tongue..then again she was an Oracle so who knows. " She chuckled as she talked about them, her grandmother was thought crazy but the court kept her cause of the prophecy she gave. "but they are doing well better now that I moved up. They are treated better now I am very happy. Mother is invited to tea and other place again, Grandmother stays with me when I am there...So what brings you here, to the windy city? Do you like it at all?" Shrugging while she took another sip of her cooling coffee, blinking as she wet her contacts so they were not to uncomfortable.
