Isabella looked at the surrounding office as she placed her badge on the Chiefs desk, he handed her the papers saying everything was turned in that needed to be and everything was settled. He told her he wished she would consider leaving since she was a asset to the team as he put it but she couldn't she had to go forwarded with her life she couldnt go on knowing they will not trust her completely cause of her brother. They were right though if it was her brother she had to go after she wouldn't be able to do it, she would fight on his side if he was right, key word in the right. Though if he was wrong she would be the first one to fire the gun and take his life but that was with anyone not just him. She took a deep breath stopping her eyes from watering as she refused to cry in front of these people even though she is going to miss this job very much. It consumed her life in a way that people said that this job was an obsession, at least she had decided to go into a job that is close to what she does now. Privet Detective was probably the best thing and better that she was working supernatural cases since she had friends in Ript still. Leaving his office as she walked to her desk her limp very pronounced today even though she tried everything in her power to hide it, sometimes it has a mind of itself. She felt eyes on her as she moved through the maze of desk as she reached hers. Smiling at the people around her as she tried to joke with them that she just couldnt keep up with them now, or they would be able to cut her butt even at her best now. They laughed around her while she slowly opened the middle draw and started to empty it, some said they were sad to see her go and they wish she would stay. "I am leaving cause I am hazzard on the street and I just cant go back to the desk yall...You know I'll be sweatin' like a whore in church wondering if I screwed up a paper." Isabella laughed as she made light of it, the only people who knew why shee was leaving was in the office the day she told them they could say goodbye. The chef and her decided that it would still be good to have her on the phone if need be. "Dont worry you all will still have me if you need my help Chief said it was all right if I am needed that I can work with yall and even get paid." By this time she finished talking all her personal belongings where on the desk, she sighed her body tense from all the bull shit she had to go through to finally finish the capter of her life with the Ript group. She was going to miss all these crazy people and all the trouble they got her into, it was time to say goodbye. Standing up as she watched all around her, placing all the items in the box that was sitting half hazardously on her desk. When she was done she picked it up and made her way to the door looking one last time at her friends and others while she moved into the hall.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - His voice lightened by a joviality he wasn’t entirely sure fit. He was right that of course made him as happy as always yet Isabella was a tried and true believer. Her leaving RPIT was a decision she couldn’t take back. She might continue fighting the good fight but she would never be on the front line again. She would go from being a front line trench fighter to being at best operating in a more support role. There was also the fact that they hadn’t spent any time together since she’d turned down his offer to help her heal. She was against using magic to help herself. He could have changed her mind through less than direct means but the choice was in fact hers. He would respect her wishes to do her humanly best. He however could not accept her decision knowing that she didn’t have to be infirmed at all. There was a price with any magic’s true enough. She was absolutely right in that regard but the cost of not using all means was too high for him. So without belaboring the time that had settled between them he’d watched. He’d given his word to watch over her and watch he had. He’d not allowed his life to bleed into hers. He’d kept magics away from her. He had also been her guardian angel unbeknownst to her. He watched her and her reticence in the last few weeks alerted him that something big was in her future. Whatever she’d been planning settled down to two things. She would either be demanding full reinstatement or she would be deciding to lay down her badge. Either decision would have gotten her where she was right now. They couldn’t reinstate her for field duty her limp was too pronounced. It wouldn’t inspire confidence in her abilities when her beat was the preternatural. She was the watchmen for the preternatural which in the end she would have to do the amazing. That was hard to pull off under the best of conditions. In her conditions the powers that be would have thought it laughable at best. At worse they would have insulted her. He knew full well that her temper was her hardest trait to swallow and would explode from her especially in such a situation. So no matter what she would have ended here in this hallway on her way out. “I’m asking in regards to myself. My previous official position has run its course. MT Security Consultants has shuttered its doors. Something about it being hard to keep things running without the figurehead of a boss around to sign the checks.”He smiled moving with her hoping to gainsay her humor better. She sulked better than most humans he knew. She also hid it better. So her exact mood was anyones best guess until she spoke. Isabella frowned and turned to hit the person who grab her box until she saw it was Tempus, a smile touched her lips as it moved into her eyes. Its been a long time since she saw him last and it was infuriating her to no end,she did miss their lunch's, dinners, and just normal talks. Sometimes even now she would remember little things that they would do or place they visited. When even she went back to the cafe bookstore from time to time after the doctor told her she was allowed to walk with out help. It was narrow in some places and in others there was a lot of room she just didn't want to be a bother there even though she got to know the owners and became close friends with them. Part of her hoped they would run into him there but she never did, not surprising though, she almost gave up hope in ever seeing him again. Slowly the smile in her eyes started to fade as she got upset remembering the last few years. After everything was said and done they saw each other off and on for a bit but then it took longer and longer before he would show himself. Then he disappeared when she told him she didn't want magic used to heal her, it was like he was angry at her for wanting to heal on her own. She didn't want to depend on his hands in that way, she wanted to prove she could do it on her own. Isabella didn't want to rely on magic or anyone to keep her going and he apparently couldn't handle it, but that was most men in her life they normally backed away sooner or later. Whether it was the job scared them, she in-masculine them or they just could handle a woman being better at the job then them. Taking a breath as she started to think of how to approach him on this point on. "Well I know of a PI opening up soon as it finishes getting an office. Since most around here are closing or not worth the pot they piss in..This one also works the paranormal cases that others shy from. They need to get going though I hear the owner will need a lot of help at time. I think this one would do well in the city and stick it out. I know it needs and is looking for people but only if they want to stick around and help them." She said in her soft voice hiding trying to hide the betrayal that started to bleed through in her voice. Sighing as she felt it from him leaving without saying bye at least. Yes she was human and he was Fae but he became a friend, a confidantes where no one else took there time here even her co workers didn't care about her until she was hurt well all but Tad and who knows where he was now. Isabella walked down the hall and noticed no one was around as they walked she glanced to the side to see he was with in step right next to her. She walked a little slower then she used to but even with her limp she took long powerful strides and held her head up high. Not wanting to seem weak cause even now she wasn't, her body may not work like it used too but her mind was still sharp as a blade Tempus would use if need be. Her eyes narrowed as she thought of the jobs she would take and what she would need to take care of it all. Her left hand moved to her pocket as she let her gun on her hip adjusting it to make it feel more comfortable to her. Then shifting quickly to stand in front of him blocking him from moving any farther, her hip locked and damn did it hurt a lot, she stood there as pain washed over her but then died quickly as she hid it. She planted her feet, point blankly she looked into his eyes, a fire of anger and rage burned in them but it was cooled with joy of having him back around. Isabella took a few deep breaths closing her eyes then opening them as she turned her piercing gaze on him. "So how have you been? Its been quite a long time has it not? I thought you forgot about this humble one Tempus...then I worried you could of been hurt. But enough of my foolish worry I see you are well. She asked in a sharper tone but it still held warmth for him init then she sighed. "I am glad I was wrong and you are well, even if my gut was off there shiny one. She tried to joke with him even though she looked away from him there was more to say but not here, now was not the time So would you like to do lunch or too soon? Her voice was barely above a whisper as she moved to turn away and keep walking.

Laughing at Tempus joke as she shook her head at him at the same time. She bite her bottom lip as a nervous habit that she now developed, that and playing with her hair at times too. Isabella took a deep breath as she tried calmed herself and lightly slapped his upper arm in a soft little tap breaking out laughing again. Her cheeks turned a light shade of red as she did, some reason laughing at him was instinctive and felt right but then again she had though of him as a very close friend. Hoping that they could maybe start over, even if they couldn't get some sort of closer that she needed. Sighing as she finally stopped laughing and took a breath. "Well Shinning one sorry to tell you but your light dulled some since you stayed to far away from the light of the sun...and that certain restaurant you speak of happens to be owned by a friend of mine and makes a great sandwich with some of the best sweet tea I have ever found up north thank you very much. Most the people around here doesnt know what it is let along how to make it." She said with a little smile on her lips. Her eyes glanced back at him while she wrinkled her nose as she walked on. Listing to him when he offered her his arm she gladly took but refused to lean to much on it. She was hurting a bit but she knew when she got to the cafe she would rest and decompress from all the stress this place gave her. It was nice to have a place even in the city to calm herself when need be, its easier for her to go there now then off for a drive like she used too. Sometime she would take a book or buy one there and read it while she ate. "I never said it was my company but I am not shocked that you know this. I will be nice to have someone that could look at things differently then my eyes could. Plus you will be shocked about how many people have found out before I open my doors already...Also I think there maybe some office space for you in the closet if you want it... we can even get you a small desk." Sticking her tongue out at him as she spoke in a teasing tone, its been awhile since she played with anyone like this and some how she missed it. Watching as they move closer to the doors out of the building made her heart started to race as her face paled a bit. Gripping a little tighter on to his arm, she refused to admit she was worried. This was the only life she knew and to say she was scared about what was out there was an understatement.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tempus spoke of things he by rights shouldn’t have known as he remained hidden from her sight. It was as close as he could come to telling her that he kept watch over her. It was his own way of saying that she did matter to him despite in his opinion her wrong decision. He really saw it as fundamentally flawed logic especially as she aimed to move in circles of the preternatural. Being altogether human or altogether flawed human would put her at unnecessary risk. She was a strong woman though he could have forced his will he wouldn’t betray her trust in that manner. She wasn’t his vassal nor even strictly speaking one of his charges. She was Isabella a friend, occasional confidant, and an iron willed mortal woman. He reminded himself of that constantly usually to no avail. “Thank you for not using my name but…You know Mr. Zlotvor will do until we get further away from this place we might be overheard.”Tempus said his voice as quiet and still as a shadow. “You’re kind of a popular girl in the local gossip mill. Especially as your partner went on to join the SRS, your brother is a lycanthrope, and you were on scene at the close of the Butcher case. You could have milked that into the sort of promotion your partner got but you didn’t so a lot of your once fellow officers wonder as to not only your sanity but what sort of sordid things you might have been into.” There was more Tempus could have said especially about the Internal Affairs two inch jacket on her but it was a moot point as he’d done what he could to lessen their findings. They initially were hoping to have so much questionable findings as to force her into a corner to use against her former partner. It was all the better that each officer they assigned to tail her seemed to always have either vehicle troubles or a well-timed though highly probable traffic accident. The case they hoped to build never reached fruition but Isabella still resigned so that was a pity indeed. He was actually enjoying the diversion of losing the detectives that shadowed her. Isabella’s resignation gave Blackstone a shot at leading the unit pro-tem Tempus didn’t like the man especially as he was anti-preternatural he hid it well but the thread of bigotry was strong in him. Sadly it was also why the unit was so detailed oriented. He wanted the evidence as rock solid as Gibraltar so that he could get orders of execution with impunity. "Dulled no merely better hidden. It is my nature after a spell. It helps keep things more interesting." He wasn’t sure how much she meant by the comment but it was blow he could shake off. He knew she didn’t know enough about the Hidden folks to intentionally give a small offense. His smile ever faltering he went on speaking as if he was in fact the human he appeared to be. Reaching out to her he pulled her into a small one armed hug. She was a handful but a touch amongst friends could often do more than all the words in the world. “And no closets dear it’s doubtful it would hold my ego let alone the rest of me.” Turning on his million watt smile he allowed a bit of glow to his skin for a brief moment as the clouds moved from the sun. His glow wasn’t full bore but even the briefest glimpse of his true seeming was a sign of trust and companionship. They weren’t companions in any standard sense of the word but companions they were and would be for the foreseeable future at least. If she would choose another career path it was a good chance that her future would be a good deal longer. He was good but there was in the scope of things always something better. He wasn’t vain or proud enough to blind himself to that fact. It was the goal and bane of any warrior worth their swords. Pausing before the doors he looked to her meeting Izzy’s eyes. He knew this was a big step for her even as she would only in fact be changing the mode of her crusade not abandoning it. She would be alone on this quest of hers as far as she was concerned. That feeling was in part due to his behaviors. He would own that but here in this moment he was with her and would help her take the step forwarding into her future. "I am here even you just want to head back and demand your job back."[/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Wardobe[/ul]

Isabella looked at Tempus her head cocked with a slight smile that hid the way she felt even though it never touched her eyes. So he knew that there was contractor at her house and that she finished under budget. She begin to wonder what else he knew and where else he had his hands to know whats happening in her life. Raising an eyebrow at him while she thought of what to think about this revile of information. "All I had to do was make him a cherry pie and it was easily done. Or the fact that there was always enough sweet tea and stuff for them for lunch. Like fried chicken or pulled pork sandwiches..." She joked around with him , shaking her head a bit while refusing to dwell on it for long at the moment. She would enjoy company that he offered for now until the other shoe fell. " It was really easy to tell the truth I just played up the fact I was a single woman that needed help. Hell they even added some things in the house for me too."Isabella doubt that she was part of the local gossip mill well as popular as Tempus said she was. Tad well yes she could see him being part of the mill more so then her, she wasn't anything important. Her brother was a sore subject and soon as he mentioned her brother, her eyes cut to the Fae next to her. She didn't even know if he was alive let alone where he was and that was the straw that broke her back here, this was her final act of sisterly love for her brother plus it work with her morals so it was a win win so to say. "Really Mr. Zlotvor I am sorry my mind must be slipping from the shock of seeing you again. Plus there is no way I am that popular as you say I mean there is better things to talk about then me ya got to admit. Hell I even question my sanity at times but the best of us think differently at times. Sordid things I am into ? Humm now I want to know sounds like I been missing a good time... And no; not just no but hell no. I will not go and ask for this damn job back they can keep it and I hope those bigots choke on it!"She growled out as she stomped out the building pulling him with her into the sun. Taking a breaths while she turned her face to the sunlight its been awhile since she was able to enjoy it for what it was.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - He knew it was a bit of a brain dump but he could go into more detail later paring the lump down into bite size kernels he supposed if she wished. She’d need to know certain things her time on RPIT precluded him from telling her. In fact though he shared the truth of his being as Homo Arcanus with her there was more to him that he hadn’t. Namely as she was so trusting of him she hadn’t run the name he used whilst amongst the world of man. If she had she’d know that he was in fact a registered bounty hunter. He managed to not be grandfathered into the Marshall bureau as his alias was in fact born outside the United States and was a citizen by way of naturalization. So the while the steps to become in fact a a marshal was the same he would have received extra scrutiny that would have revealed his status as one of the shining host. Blood tests could not be fooled by glamor. “It’s nice to know that you’ve made friends amongst the staff. Everyone could use more friends especially with as wide and ranging tastes as to keep one happily experiencing new favorites." He smiled a lower wattage smile though a warm one all the same. There was much to do even as Isabella had begun making loose confederates amongst the preternatural community. There were many more ties she would need and alliances she would need to make or sever to have the full allotment of necessary open paths. Isabella sighed as the sun started to warm her body with a slight smile that played across her lips. Part of her wanted to turn back and run in there dealing with everything that came with her job on the force. She moved here and couldn't really make friends since her job, no one wanted to be close to some one on the force often and when they did it was cause they thought she could do something for them. Isabella was very lucky when the people at the cafe started to treat her as a friend more so then a costumer. Shaking her head as she started to map out her plans in her head, mapping out everything that needed to be done before she opened her doors. " Well if they turn it over then I guess the feds will be coming out to play and not in a good way. Well at least it wont be with my pants down if they come, we will talk more about this later agreed?" She asked while pushing a few strains of hair out of her face. She was really upset about this new piece of meat to chew but she will have to get over it, it was just that this piece of meat was full of grizzle and would take a long time to digest after she swallowed it. Well at lest it wasn't her mothers gator, that was gross. "So this going to be an adventure that is starting, are you sure you want to go on this with me? Isabella started to walk down the sidewalk, heading towards the cafe with the smile still on her face, refusing to let anything bring her down at this time. In a few moments she would let everything come crashing in on her as the tide with the shore but until then she was happy. Looking at Tempus as she let his arm drop so he could walk on his own pace. She wondered if he was still mad at her for taking what she did, or if he was disappointed that she decided to leave the Ript team. The truth was one of the reasons she decided to do this was to make a net work out to help Lycans that needed it and maybe she would be able to find her brother. Maybe she could make her mother proud finally. Her forehead wrinkled a bit as she thought about her brother and mother.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - He shrugged as she chose to walk unaided. The hitch was still there but she was ever the hard head. She had to do things her way. Tempus knew he would have to better keep his own counsel around her but that again was to be expected. He would if she but allowed her take all her pain away. He could help her be more of who she was. "No. no I am not but that is in fact what makes it such an attractive offer. You can be particular at times. As can I so we shall see how long it will take to drive each other mad. It will be an adventure much like Peter Pan and Wendy’s,” Tempus screwed his face considering his choice of adventurers. Finding them apropos he smiled it was a bit of whimsy which made him choose such a pair but it fit very well indeed. The eternal youth and the grounded serious waif. One who was on the cusp of change. The matching and how well it truly did match struck him as an omen of some portent. “Of course I could be wrong as I am so rarely am. Maybe we will get on greatly no extraordinary dramatic tension and a dull humdrum time of chasing down fornicators and adulterers. Or maybe skip-tracing boring though colorful desperate men and women who want nothing more than to see another day unmarred by bars.” Chuckling he barely contained the barb of his jests. He didn’t even try it was there as obviously a joke as the sun in the sky. [/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Wardobe[/ul]
