Francois raised the phone to his lips as he drove north to Dallas. He could have used the Bluetooth but those things always annoyed him. So one handed he wheeled the F-150 he'd bought to blend in with the locals on its way.
He knew that he hadn't left much wiggle room during his departure. He hoped that there was no hard feelings and that Alex had in fact become a good leader to the Rodere.
He still had dreams of returning to the city that had become his home, just not yet. There were things to accomplish within himself yet. He waited as the ringing phone pulsed in his ear waiting as patiently as the afternoon sun would allow for someone to pick up...

Nadia had taken the day off, well technically she had come home early barely spending an hour at the studio. She'd been too distracted with the jumbled up mess that her relationship currently was to focus on work. Kisa had taken one look at her and sent her packing before her mood became contagious.
She could really use a night out, a little old fashioned fun chilling with the guys and shooting pool would do her some good. She hadn't been out to her favorite spot in a while. Angela didn't care for the place an tended to spoil the mood. Her mind had wandered so far off it took a few rings before she realized it was the phone.
She plucked the receiver off its base and held it to her ear, "Nadia here, what can I do for you?"

Francois counted to ten and ten again. He still had many steps on his climb to surmounting his pride. He quickly placed the name with a face from some years past. She was the Daughters middle child. A bit on the withdrawn side normally. It had been some time indeed since he'd last dealt with her; even then it was only fleetingly.
Sighing he composed himself and brought a smile to his lips.
"I would speak with your Oba if she is available. I have news of a business nature. This is Fr...Arturo."
After having taken great pains to kill the ego that was Arturo it was hard for him to utter his own name. It was as if the genie might escape its glassy prison by the mere mention of him. Francois lowered his speed as he spotted a sheriff a few car lengths up the road waiting to catch a speeder.

Arturo... the name didn't immediately ring a bell. He was an associate of Kisa's but she couldn't remember what sort off the top of her head. She was usually better about those kinds of details.
"Kisa is at her studio at the moment. Though," she said giving a quick glance at the clock on the mantle," she doesn't have a class she's scheduled to be teaching right now. Would you like me to patch you through to the office?"

"That would be great. Thank you." He said trying to keep his voice polite. It was obvious that while he'd kept a memory or two about her, she'd not done the same. He knew it wasn't fair to hold her to the same scale as he'd left and she stayed but then again life wasn't fair.
He gave himself kudos for not leaking heat into his words...

“Alright. Please hold for a moment while I connect you.” Nadia deftly punched in the sequence to transfer the call to the office. She loved Hazel for setting the whole thing up. Made situations like these a whole lot easier. It had happened often enough in the past that it had become somewhat of a necessity. People had a tendency to call at all hours either not knowing, or simply forgetting that Kisa had other obligations. This way there were no interruptions to Kisa’s classes unless there was a dire need for it. Kisa could contact them at her convenience, forward calls where ever she needed them, and could even do it by specific numbers, as well as mask any in coming or out going signal for times when discretion was paramount.
Nadia tapped one foot lightly making a slight staccato on the floor. The phone at the office began to ring.

Kisa picked up the phone she had been working steadily on reviewing the applications for new instructors the studio would be growing into a school it seemed.
"Kisa speaking." Usually if they were transfered to her then it had already been answered by someone else.

"Hi Kisa. Hope I'm not interrupting."
Odds are she was though. Kisa was no doubt reviewing the very paperwork she had intended on going through today. Oh Kisa would have reviewed it anyway. Nadia no longer dance herself but she still had an eye for it, she'd learned much from Kisa after all. She knew well enough which ones would be most suitable for what the studio was looking for. Kisa did have the final say, it was her studio after all. Nadia just helped keep things running smoothly. Something Kisa was capable of doing on her own, but with the help Nadia offered it allowed her more free time for her other pursuits.
"There is a gentleman named Arturo who wishes to speak with you on the other line. He says that he has news of a business nature. Shall I connect him?"
