"Kitty?" yes their was definitely a relationship" here Malik thought to himself but he also knew it was not his business. "Good day Hiero" Malik responded as he firmly but respectfully shook Hiero's hand. Though it's been a while he could notice when love has been interrupted especially by the slight look of disappointment on Rakasha's face, and the fact that it look Hiero could barely keep a straight face. Malik was trying to ignore the sexy scent that entered the air himself. He felt bad for the interruption but he was made an offer and he felt it would be worst if he refused.
Well I've never heard of this Carsons but I'm sure it would be fine. Malik look around and notice the no parking signs was vast in this Loop place, also with all the traffic going and coming Malik noticed not many cars on the street. He didn't know if one was theirs or did they just take cabs, but since they offered lunch he had to show courtesy as well. "I will pay for a cab if needed" he offered with a smile "A gift without a given is an advantage. and that's not my way of life" Malik quoted humbly with respect

"Please dont worry about a taxi, you see I cant drive so I have a driver who all I have to do is text but if it is less then a two miles I think walking would do us some good. I would like to hear about you Malik and what brought you to our windy city. As long as I dont over stepped my bounds by pushing you to far." Kasha said in a soft tone, the saying was true when it came to her. One of these days her need to know everything would be the end of her but until then she would let it almost rule her.
Her hand moved back to Hieros free one and touched it laying her hand over his as she watched everything. Her eyes brighten as she thought of lunch with her love and even with someone else there it would be a good lunch. Hearing her phone chime as she pulled it out and saw a text from her mother, reading it with a smirk on her lips as she slipped it into back into her jacket pocket. It was the normal text her mother asking if she was ever going to marry her rex or come home since a womans worth was measured by her husband.
"Well all I know am I am the lucky one not do I get to go to lunch with one handsome man but two of them. I am going to be the envy of every woman around there." She said with that chipper little giggle she had and was known for with everyone. "I mean who wouldn't want to be me?" Slowly she started to step away from Hiero as her hand moved across his and his thigh; looking back at him she had her famous wicked glint in her eyes.

Hiero watched the wheels turn in Maliks head. He hoped the man didn't see what Kasha was doing. Even as yes the love between them had him often touching her she even in this show of affection was shielding him from a potential threat. Malik's stiff mannerisms showcased their easygoing actions all the more. If Hiero didn't know any better he'd say the man was in a state of mourning. Almost the same way Sabin was when he first arrived in the city.
"As Kasha said no need, not to mention the fact that its not more than a half mile from here. Its just a block off Lasalle we can make it there before the lunch crowd gets too thick." With any luck he thought that they could have Malik pointed in the right direction without too much fuss. He'd have to call Hong and arrange everything but he was sure that once they learned a little bit more that things would work out just fine.
Kasha's hand on his brought to mind several other things he'd wish they had time to touch and be touched. The thought bringing a true smile to his lips. Her phone ringing put an end to it. His height allowed him to see the sender. It was a bit petulant on his part but he hid it well. Slipping his arm around her waist he pulled her close a second longer. Not for the first time he thought on how well their bodies fit together. Reluctantly he released her. allowing his hand to slid across her as he began moving.
He did his best to not allow too much of his lycanthropy to show. He kept his pace slow and easy falling into the flow of the street around them. His thoughts on a pan seared steak or three. "Malik you've got to get out more Chicago is a gourmands playground the food here if not for our metabolisms would surely hospitalize us all. Its that good where as one doesn't ever want to stop eating."
Hiero was never good at small talk and he was nearly to the bottom of the barrel on his stores of readily available small talk topics next he'd have to mention the weather. While he wasn't the conversationalist he wished he could be he also wasn't quite ready to discuss matters of import while so many ears could easily intercept what they were talking about. Namely how in the world did Malik expected to survive without a Streak to back whatever play he had in mind.
He knew that they were some of the most territorial as well as insular groups of people on all the world. He was sure that Hong would make him pay for not finding her first. Hopefully Malik could impress her and them enough so as they might speak for him to save his neck. As it was he was meat anyones meat in fact. AS a former rogue himself he knew how hard the road Malik was on could be.
As his thoughts raced he found himself absently holding Kasha's hand. Her warmth seeping into him as a sedative. Part of him hied that they'd find Malik a decent person the other half dreaded it. If he was it would make not interfering very hard.

Malik gave a friendly laugh at Hiero's comment about the food, "Well that would be great, smelling all this food around makes me want to eat one of these restaurant myself" Malik joked. Though He did find Hiero comment funny his true feelings were on Hazel which was affecting him terribly. Seeing the love Hiero had for Rakasha made him think of theirs. The way she would cuddle his chin as their lips passionately touched. The way he would grasp he soft long hair as he rub her back pulling her closer onto his body. The way her body would lower on his manho, "Quit it dammit and move on" one of Maliks key though to himself to push pass her lost. Sometimes it helped but only sometimes. But he knew he never would he could never find another, never do another so wrong.
Though he didn't know these people it was funny, he took a liking to them and was genuinely smiling. They seemed honest enough for the most part. They show kindest to him though they never met, they didn't react to his accent at all. Living in this country, most of the time he was being educated, and taught to adjust, and teaching Uhuru the same. Most of the people he was trying to give cards to he could smell their annoyance the disdain sometimes the fear they had for him, especially after he spoke. At least in South Africa during apartheid times you could get a hello with a smile if you lived in the streets from people of the same skin tone from all ages. Their were even those who would be kind and show love and friendship from the apartheid side.
From home Malik was told many stories of America, how it was united with peace and tranquility, a place he'd wish to be. But he realized many people here, unless they were asking for cash seemed to be more arrogant, and cared mostly for themselves. The business men and women would just ignore the poor, even if they shared the same color of skin by that all people. Though his freedoms were greater he sometimes felt like is heritage was less.
"Well I picked it I'll live with it, I didn't have to be here" he thought, but that wasn't totally true April (Maliks adopted mother and queen) picked it for him. Malik looked down the street and joked himself "I've been walking for hours and I know you say its only around the corner but are you sure a taxi won't do? I'm tired" he said with a chuckle. Tying to truly break the ice. He began to slowly walk the way Hiero stated giving him his back to show trust and respect for both the pride, Malik realized ears could be around and started a conversation "computers are my life which is what I work on. Have any problems"

"Well if that is what you want then sure I dont mind not walking...I mean I am wearing spiked heels and it is kinda icy out here...I may fall and hurt my little old self." Kasha said as she flipped her hair off her shoulders and looked at the men. She started to fake and little slip that turned into a real on as she grabbed Hieros arm. He was a sharp looking and made her drool if she wasn't careful, he was just her weakness and she knew it.
Giggling as she straighten herself out and looked at Hiero and smiled at him. "I am not light on my feet it seems... " Her face was blood red as she smoothed down her jacket and then her skirt. "Well today at lest it seems I am out of my graceful way." Taking a breath as she stood there, the ground was icy and hell on her shoes and balance. Sighing as she tried to make herself look better and not show how embarrass she really was at this moment.
"Computers that sounds nice I wish I knew about them I just turn it on and it works...if anything happens to mine I am SOL to tell the truth. You must have patience to work on them like that Malik." Kasha took a deep breath as she thought. " I mean I am dont understand any thing but copy and paste. She laughed as she waited to see what was going on

"I'll never let you fall," Hiero said as he broke stride spun and caught her with no pretenses of human speed. She was that important to him. He would watch the world burn to protect her. She was his Achilles heel but woe be unto anything that thought to harm her to tame him. Even as she was what he would smite heaven for she was also that which kept his beast soothed. Without her he was sure he would be a raving monster a rabid dog in need of a permanent sleep.
Using the moment he held her closer; a heartbeat of heaven as they touched body to body even through their clothing.Mouthing 'I love you' he slowly released her extending his elbow and pulling her arm through. It forced them to walk in constant contact, oh what sweet torture.
"Computers now thats a trade that would get you a lot of demand. If all goes well I may have a few jobs for you." Patting Kitty's hand he said aloud teasingly. " I highly doubt that my dear you are my luck so I hope I count for close to the same for you. After all we did beat the odds by force of sheer personality."

Malik was amazed of how quick it all went down, or did anything go down. As he was tell his trade he heard the slip behind him, the smell of testosterone enhance, but when he turned they were walking asking about what he spoke about which excited Malik. He felt he could fanally have some coustomers that would help get Urhuru and himself out that damn room.
"Oh? well that would be great, I've been looking for work since my dau... since my days of being here. I build and repair computers, and I also create software" there are other skills I can share with you but I shouldn't over exploit myself? Perhaps we can speak more of it at lunch" he ask with great appreciation
Malik was quite happy that he met people who seemed to be upfront and ernest those were the one's he appreciated most. If it was no just say so, but if there was a chance also just say so which they did.

Kasha smiled as she felt his arms take her in them keeping her from hitting the ground, a blush moved over her face and down her neck to her chest. She mouthed 'I love you too" back at him as she wrinkled her nose. She also added 'I want you my heart' to it , to get the extra edge to it that she always add it seems. Licking her lips as she felt him pull away as they walk on her legs hurt to tell the truth, hell her body hurt from all the sparing she has done the past few weeks.
Kasha ears picked up the slip of of his tongue and stared at him as he tried to cover it. He was hiding somthing and she wondered what it was but she wasnt going to pry to much so she didnt upset him. Her eye brow rose as she smiled at him and kept walking on to where they were to eat. " I know I can used some help at the dojo with the tech crap. I am too busy to work on it myself. " She laughed as she grasped Hieros hand tightly.
" Well KOTJ At least you have faith in me not any of my students at all and they are scared I am going to double charge them if I dont get it done. " She sighed as they walked. " I mean this new class is killing me these women are the rich ones that just want to turn my class into a place to talk like a they do over dinner." She hissed slightly about it

"All the faith in the world Kitty," Hiero said a smile in his voice and on his lips. " I am the high priest in the religion of you. Don't let the biddies get to you. After all I'm sure Ro' is a hit with them, why not have him pick up a few of the classes and you just monitor or lay out a plan for him."
"And yes speaking of lunch Malik we're almost here take a look up ahead." Hiero said motioning with his head at the other side of the street ahead of them. Carson's yellow and black sign sat towering above the restaurant. While the food was a local favorite the decor was as drab as they came. The squat building was as close to an eyesore as the city would allow in the downtown area. Hiero himself didn't mind as he would rather the owners keep spending their money on the quality of food instead of the flash and glitz that other restaurants seemed to be affected to these days. He mentally blanched at the last and only time he'd ventured into a Chilli's.
As they entered his stomach smiled as the aroma of freshly grilled steaks and ribs hit his nose like an explosion of welcome. He3 was right they were catching the place as the lunch crowd was arriving so the grills were firing on all cylinders and the servers were buzzing around like an angry hornets nest. The hostess was pleasant enough however he could sense the agitation in her voice. She was obviously a new hire. She sat them as far from the door and facilities as she could yet right in the flow of traffic from the servers. Which was fine yet not.
Sliding out Kasha's chair he waited for her to sit before taking one for himself. Unlike what his nature demanded he sat with his back to the door allowing Malik the power seat as a way of further easing the man. He remembered how he felt whenever he entered a city and was greeted by those not of his flavor of fur.
He'd caught the slip of the tongue but was trying not to mention it unless he mentioned it himself. It wasn't his nature to avoid a thing that was so blatant yet he would play the good host at least until they'd had a chance to speak candidly of things. The busboy nearly spilled the waters as he rushed to insure that they didn't walk out with the tip left from the previous diners. Hiero could do nothing but laugh.
Mentally scanning over what Malik, he, and Kasha were wearing dollar value was more than what the man would make in a week' yet he was willing to make an ass of himself for a three dollar tip. Unable to contain the sour mirth he merely chuckled deeply in his chest as he brought the menu closer. He hadn't been here in awhile and was unsure as to what he'd have.
The 24hour Beef mini's looked like a good place to start but he'd wait until the others had a chance to look over the menu before making a suggestion.

Malik looked around the restaurant as they came in. It was a rather nice place though the building seemed different. It didn't at all resemble the rest of the downtown building or restaurant which made him happy. It wasn't the ritzy high price place but at the same time it wasn't McDonald's. The aroma of the food had his mouth wet, hell he hoped he wasn't drooling. Hiero did something strange, Malik didn't know if this was an act of courtesy or was he just this way. But either way April would never do it, Hiero gave him the door seat.
Malik smiled softly to himself at this concept. Just as he was going to speak, but a rather rude waitress came. It made Malik think of his previous thoughts, the asses of this city, but Malik look to Hiero and Rakasha again, "no, not all" he thought. When the water boy almost tripped and spilled a small amount of water on him, he did the right thing he apologized. Yes, he knew it truly was an accident and he apologized. Whether it was for tips or not at least it was genuine. "I guess it not everyone now lets see this menu" Malik thought.
