Alice followed Esme's gaze towards the door and saw the van. She had to admit to herself, it was with a bit of disappointment that she realized it was Esme's ride. Alice hadn't really spoken this long to anyone who wasn't a patient or a co-worker, since she had arrived in Chicago. It was kind of nice. She turned and smiled, looking back down towards Esme, "I would like that. A tester of your teas," Alice chuckled, "You can call me your lab experitment, I could even give you notes on how they affected me." A crinkled of her nose and Alice continued, "Yes, I'm a bit of a nerd, but I wouldn't mind helping out in that capacity."
"Yes, and I'll see you then," she smiled softly, tugging a bit on the strap of her purse. As Alice stood there and watched for a moment, she was happy to have made a friend. Or, so she hoped. And a human friend at that. Her eyes drifted off to the dark city just past the lights of the van and sighed. A part of her not so interested in walking through the dark, and yet...there was a piece that wanted someone to appear there. Alice shook her head of the thoughts, even tho there was a slight tug in her heart. She chewed on the inside of her bottom lip, then began to walk to the front door. It was time to go home, and take a sleeping pill. The only way, Alice was finding she could sleep anymore.
