sabin walked into the club, for the first time in a long time he was on edge. for the sake of arguement he wanted to reach out to the vamps. he was visited by the vamps or he called himself the 'master of the city.' but if the master of the city was 'punked' by his second and the master of another state, sabin figured needed to get a second look to see the shape the undead was in. sabin just knew that they was in a bad way. but if he could help maybe it could benefit the vamps the lycanthorp community. and lastly who knows maybe sabin could get to know the vamps as well as get a blood sample.
sabin drew his beast in coiled it tight within himself. and took in the scene. dark, trendy and overflowing with the dead and the blood dolls whether they knew it or not. sabin begin to have second thoughts, but someone needed to take steps to save the city.
sabin found a booth ordered a jack and ginger ale.
sabin watched as only a snake could he absorbed every iota of every movement. he soaked in who was alive and who had died. this beautiful woman came and sat at his table. his body was alight as images of her flooded his inner eye. he opened his mouth to speak
"hello." he could tast the dead waft from her flesh. sabin never liked the dead especially since he saw the necromancers work, but in his mind he thought she's dead but wow.

So the Kashyapa showed. A day late but no matter. She could understand he was a busy man. She had looked into his company just as she had the lions and the rats and everything she could dig her teeth into information wise about the city.
She moved into the booth across from him. A polite smile graced her lips which tonight were painted in a hue of dark crimson. She wore a fitted sheath dress belted at the waist in a matching hue. Her hair was drawn back in pins and then allowed to falls in curls.
She looked him over studying him face to face as much as he did her she took in his scent. “Hello.” such a harmless word that fell from her lips in a way that seemed more arousing then harmless the succulent tones that melding of warm brushed silk, being slid across flesh in a sensual touch. “How are you tonight?”

"i take it you are katrina?" while sabin was fairly sure she was at least from the internet pictures. looking at her face to face the pictures while beautiful was not even really close. "could she be using vampire tricks to make herself?" sabin asked himself. he looked at the nape of her neck.
"it maybe a bit odd but i came in to look in at my undead brethren. every clan seem to be busy doing there own thing, while normally i would just ignore what the clans were doing, it seems that the entire city is going down hill and fast. we need to look after each other or soon we will be a city indentured to another. it harder to regain freedom than to keep it. now that i have said my piece, how are you?"
"hopefully even if we can not see eye to eye maybe we can still be of...use to each other."
while what sabin said was safe and not easily construded as an advance, the thoughts that he was having was not. sabin thought it very odd because as a literal billionaire teenage and twenty year old playboy it was odd that any woman no matter how beautiful could stir his loins and send fire racing through his veins.

“A correct assumption. I couldn’t very well allow a doppelganger to run amuck in the city especially with it changing hands.”
Katrina studied Sabin yes she knew about him and his back ground she knew what he was attempting with his research as well. Yes he could prove profitable. A slight hand could give him the wealth of opportunities that money couldn’t always buy.
Katrina smiled. Though it was coy and pleasant there were no tricks to it. One thing Katrina did not believe in. Using mind games to alter voice and body including her face. She rather enjoyed the beauty she struck when she looked in a mirror she hadn’t changed from being mortal. It saddened her to loose the mortality but at the same time it no longer mattered.
“Its not odd at all I have been expecting you. Since my servant returned with your invitation for last Sunday’s meeting I attempted to call with all the clans. I wanted to know what exactly kind of mess I have been left to try to sort out. And it was my hopes that a few accords could be made by calling such a meeting. However it seems the Rats have been approached by Sion the previous master since he so graciously stepped down. In my personal opinion it seems he is trying to communicate with the clans in the city a little to late.”
She paused. And then continued. “Right now this city is very unstable. We aren’t just being watched by neighboring cities. The fact that Sion has remained alive is well unheard of. I have to be careful not to draw attention from the boogie men of my kind. I have already sent them word the transition was happening smoothly and the problems in this city are being worked out very quickly. So you see it is in my best interest that the clans work together. I don’t care who hates who. They cam fight their battles on their own turf they just have to have the good sense to clean up after themselves even if it is a dinner party to do so.”
She looked out into the crowd. “We just can’t have these battles happening in the public eye anymore you know. The press has already started going off the deep end about the tigers. We need to use preventive measures to keep it from happening further.”
She smiled now. “As for us being of use to each other. Of course we could be. But That all depends on what ever is on your mind. And you know as well as I do. There is business and then there’s business. However I think we see eye to eye on this matter just fine.”
She looked back to Sabin studying him committing the taste of his scent to memory. “You don’t think I’m to forward in my goals for the other worldly types here in the city do you?”

sabin took the vampire's rebuff with a smile. "i am very sure that your goals are very ambitious. however i think that they would be better handled by an agent of some type. someone who could quickly move between the clans and the vampires without arousing suspision. someone strong enough to be able to work alone and smart enough to work with others. if you could find someone like that you may be able to work with that person. how ever most of the clans will not follow anyone they know works with/for the living dead. i hope that you can understand the situation in its entirety. "
sabin wanted to get the vamp to back off so he could complete his plan. but he knew that whoever can unity the clans would rival her in power and if that person could wield such power effectively then her power base would be shred like paper in a mulcher.
"but you would need to have some reason to trust that person because you would have a boon in power. but i'm sure you have a someone you can trust ..." sabin paused to watch her reaction before he continued.
"or at least someone you could tolerate because that person would be tied to you fairly closely. as far as us being useful as long as " business can remain business and all goals can be reached...

Katrina shook her head. Yes she was misunderstood. “Now Sabin. You misunderstand my intentions. I could force several alliances if I wanted to. But I am opting not to. I don’t want to be involved in the fluffy stuff I don’t want to be responsible for anything the clans decide for them selves. They all need to meet face to face at the same time and decide. All I wanted to do was tell them the information I do have. On several things that are going on.”
She looked at him. “I would like to work with them but I don’t want to take anything from them. I don’t want to force them to do anything they don’t want to do. I don’t even want them to make an alliance with me unless they want to. Personally what happens to them does affect me and mine. And I rather just be kept in the loop on the big explosions so that I can do damage control on my end.”
She thought carefully of her next words. “If I call to them which I haven’t yet since being here. I brought two from Detroit with me. So I wouldn’t have to which proves I am trying very hard not to directly influence any one clan in the city. But if I so chose I could call to one of the clans and they would be bound to me. But I have chosen not to. To give them the choice. I am not making demands. I just don’t want blatant attacks happening in the streets when I have the media asking me what I am going to do about it.”
Katrina did a very human thing she had started fidgeting with a lock of her hair twirling and weaving it through her fingers a bad habit she had once broken herself of. It lent her a very human quality. Even though she was no longer human. “No one knows what its really like to be so isolated. Thoughts are no longer even your own among our kind. Everything is about cut throats and who can smear the next competitor first. So for once I don’t care if the beasts of the city form their own joint alliance with each other and leave me out. I would rather that be the case. I have enough to handle cleaning up after Sion. I was simply calling on everyone to meet them and hope that they would take the opportunity to take it upon them selves after finding out what the real horror in this city is to clean up their act and get their collective noses straight.” She knew what she was doing she knew that having a hand in the politics of the beasts could be useful but there were other ways around them.
She laughed it wasn’t exactly a nice pleasant sound it was more sardonic, “I would rather that they unite without my thumb in the pie so that I could work with only one representative for all of them then I wouldn’t have to fight currying favors for each individual clan. So for purely selfish reasons I want to save myself a few headaches. I know not everyone wants to work with me or even like me. I’m dead I don’t smell right to your kind in the least. Now the only reason I want them to really unite is so that some meat head master from another city doesn’t come stomping in takes control of a clan and uses that clan to decimate the rest rendering a sneak attack on the current master of the city.” She was frank very blunt in everything she was telling Sabin she stopped being coy. She had no intention of pursuing the clans to do her bidding what better way to prove it he could taste the lie if she were lying.
Katrina release the curl of hair it went back to its shape as though she had never played with it. Ironic her curls were natural not styled. She had revealed more to Sabin then she had to others. Andy knew of course. Or at the least he thought he did. This would take a long time.
“The attacks are going to start whether we want them to or not, you know that as well as I do Sabin. The city is weaker then just gaining a new master. The lycanthrope community is in an absolute shambles. You and the lions seem to get along well and I know the bears approached you. The wolves are working something out with the bears. And the tigers have been slaughtered down to a mere handful to what they were. And then the leader of them no one knows what happened to her but she went from trying to do full take over of the city to screaming for peace with the lions. I have paid dearly for all of this information. Use it. Its free tonight. Your already trying to do things on your own. Go ahead. I'm not stopping you I had only tried to give a middle ground where no beast has influence.”
Katrina moved in a glide to a standing position having risen from her seat. “tonight you got your boon of information. You have the warning something is coming and it isn’t me. That I can promise. But I can not promise once it hits I wont call to the clan That is my beast to call. Sabin. I will need their help and they will have to obey me because they wont be able to resist. I am giving all of the clans their chance to get their collective noses straight. And if it doesn’t happen in a timely manor.” She shrugged. “ Then I know what others will do to them I have seen my Mistress the one who created me do it many hundreds of times over the years and then my former master Johnathan did the same. City after city. They took out the weakened parts first infiltrating their own. And then they decimated the rest of the community. And no one noticed because they didn’t share information.”
She looked out into the dance floor it was almost time for her appearance. “I’ll leave you with those thoughts to chew on Sabin. You came here wanting something. I know the situation, and I know the likely hood of me putting things together. The changes have to be made on the end of the lycanthrope community not on mine. So I made my effort to get you all talking half of you refused to show up. And half of them wonder if there will be consequences. Right now there wont be but next time there may well be.”
She looked back to Sabin. “I have shown a gentle hand. I do not wish to use a stern one. Not for something that can cause more harm then good. I drew the court its your kinds choice to decide if they want to take advantage of it.”
"Now if you excuse me Sabin. I have an appearance to make and other duties to attend to. Next time you come here however, you will have to make a request to see me. I saw you come in and wanted to speak with you as much as you wanted the lay of the land. As I said I have shown a gentle hand."
Jonas melted out of the crowd in a suit of black accented in matching reds. For all that people knew he was the muscle. But he was her eyes and ears for people knew how much he was punished and how much resentment he held towards her.
Katrina smiled to Sabin. "I dare say I wish you luck in your endeavors Sabin. Just be careful about the terms you make with other clans. Wouldn't want to loose you like your old clan lost you now do we."
She smiled still taking Jonas' arm and vanishing into the swirling crowd with him. In seconds she was appearing on a relief stage alone. A microphone in hand and she called out the introductions for the next band. Her voice sounded no different then it did at the table.

"hmmmm" without a word sabin stood and walked away he sat in his car wondering what his next move would be. he needed to talk to heiro but not until the other clans fell in line. the alex was will to help, the bears were ok, the only clan missing was the wolves and they were next on the agenda anyway.
