Katrina moved through the night on foot but she cleared more area then any human could at night. She had found it Clay’s abode. She smiled. Dressed in her winter gear she knocked on the door and waited she was prepared for what waited inside. She knew what was wrong with the man.
But most of all he has something he wanted and she had some secrets he might be interested in knowing about she smiled. A coy little twist to her lips while she waited her booted feet kicking around in the snow.

Clay rarely ventured from hom ethese days. He had eyes and ears everywhere. His legacy of pain was a thing to shake the heavens. Most people living and barely held their breathes when crossing the little townhouse that sat on his corner. It was with some interest that he caught the news of a vampire heading in his direction.
Most of the undead didn't slum this far west as they knew what lied here. But change in gaurd meant change all around. he would have to remember to kill the fiorst spotter who'd merely said vampire. It was the Master of the city coming to make a house call. That was news in deed. BHe allowed her to come at her own pace. He belayed any standing order that would cause a less than pleasant exchange between them.
When she was a half a block away he donned his coat and hat and made his way to the door. As she knocked on his door he openned it and stepped out. THe freshly falling snow and her beauty took his breath away. She was lovely that was rto be sure. though Clay was no fool and couldn't twell you what color eyes she held. Grabbing his cane he made his way outside. "Lovely evening for a stroll don't you say Katrina..." Was his greeting to her it said so much and nothing all at once...

Katrina smiled at the greeting. She made no action to capture his gaze. She didn’t need to she knew who he was and as well her minions had done very good digging on their part to find out everything there was to know even how he ran his businesses. “Yes it is very much so Clay. We wont be long. It simply wont do to have you catching a chill to complicate your illness already.”
She said it with a mild hint of concern she knew he wouldn’t want her in his home. She knew what he did. “Now first no deaths because they didn’t know who I was when I was coming here. That was intentional on my part. You really need to arm them better mentally. However if they willingly take off their holy items because they are bewitched…”Katrina shrugged. “It is very difficult to find strong minded individuals to work for you they tend to want more than what your willing to give them.”
She paused for a few moments walking in the snow. She had always enjoyed the snow. This was a first for her snow in Chicago and being dead seeing some things that she remembered. “Do you know why I decided to pay you a visit Clay?”

"I could hazard a guess but then what would be the point. Guessing is a terrible habit to develop. Its almost as dirty as eavesdropping," Clay chuckled to alleviate any growing concerns. He also concentrated on 'Why was the Math book so sad' it was a simple shield as far as things go but it was effective in filling his head. It was as polite a way to say lets keep things civil as you could come when dealing with vampires.
He kept his thoughts contained focusing only on what was here and now. She may have spotted the more obvious protection she had about him but he wouldn't give her a run down on the entire grid. "So young mistress, what is that I can do you for? The weather is as always a treat but there is only so long these old bones have to walk leisurely before it becomes a chore..."

She smiled she expected this so she would be direct he was more like Al then he would like to know. “Well you took over a very old family business. One that used to be in my living decedents hands. And you have made it something else as well. You took the place of the Capone’s and over the years you have made it your own. Simply put I would like it back. And I am willing to wait and be patient until your ready. Or we can work together so I don’t have to take out the competition.”
She moved at a pace that was easy for him. She didn’t make threats simply stated what she wanted.

Clay knew a threat when he heard one. They came in two varieties the bluff and the promise. This was a promise. Hehad little choice inall actuality. He wasno fool and one didn'ttraffic with or against a cities master lightly. If all worked out as planned so far he would only need a few more months...
Smiling like the kindly old grandpa he appeared Clay stopped walking and turned to the Master of the City. Leaning heavily on his cane to keep his gaze averted. "Well under such sound reasoning I don't see why not; a partnership it is. Same arrangement as with Sion your former boy toy or would you like to haggle?" Clays voice was filled with the mirth only a cat would understand. he knew he was dancing with yet another devil but he had a few aces up his sleeve for a quick escape...

Katrina was not so easily swayed by the act the old man was she knew just as easily as he did what he was capable. “I have every intention of leaving the business in your very capable hands. However I also know that you have been digging recently into a few bloody things that silver doesn’t precisely cure but it makes a very effective stopping point. You need to stop that kind of research on members within this city. Feel free to import. But as it is the preternatural community is so weak they wouldn’t be able to with stand an attack from larger clans coming in to make a new stomping ground. Which means they can’t protect you from the boogie men who make me look like a child’s play thing.”
She smiled. “In this case of course we will be renegotiating.” Katrina didn’t bother with trying to look through the shield son his mind. It would be far to easy to break through and she didn’t feel it necessary to abuse the human that way. “However I have a very tasty counter offer for you but I will withhold it until you make your suggestions.”

"I live humbly so no matter your stake I will be well afforded. Sion was receiving ten percent financially and physically annually but if you would like more then far be it for me to stop you. As to my scientific forays those are almost at an end and I assure you that the candidates are volunteers of their own accord... did you know that the certain viruses are very capable offeeding on themselves nearly indefinitely on a microscopic level..." Clay's off handed remark opened a door. It was done for the sole purpose of allowing her egress into his research; he waited at the center quietly watching.
