Tiem caught the Chinese or Korean he used and just put a pin in it. She would of course look up what Boquin meant later and let Sabin now there was a trainer of lycanthrope hounds in the city. A few weeks was no time at all but with everything being almost back to normal she had no illusions that coincidences only existed for those that were to naïve to see the big picture. The dogs clearly had there scent now and while they wouldn’t easily forget it it would take a little more to have them track them. It would take direction.
She was still trying to decide if she was overreacting when Kari came over to reassure her. She hadn’t realized she needed it but she was strangely thankful for the other woman. She knew her mind went to darker places naturally and while Kari’s didn’t she was surprisingly empathic. She had begun to think that was why Sabin kept Kari around. She had a fire in her despite her own naivete but was able to not burn herself or anyone else with it. Tiem was trying to learn that from her. How to hold onto the strength she had without lashing out at the idiots around her constantly. Sabin’s possession had taught her that to survive one had to have allies. Not merely assets.
She knew that if it had been her instead of Sabin without him around she would have been dead three times over. She was working on changing that.
“Come on Kari enough hiking for today lets go do something bad your Thai place is still open.”
THey mad eit to the car and drove the restaurant then back to the compund in peace each lost to their own thoughts. ----END
