Sorcha smiled as Tempus told Cinaed that he was her new friend. It was odd to think that she had met the Seelie Knight randomly and that he was already calling himself friend to her, but that was more than okay with her. She needed friends of the Fey variety in Chicago, even if he was Seelie. She didn't need to let that bother her. Fey was Fey in a city full of humans who knew nothing about their culture or their lifestyle. She nodded at Tempus's words. ”I agree, Tempus. I had heard that Chicago was once a great hub for our kind, that we were once well known amongst the humans here. We were aware of the rumors when we chose to populate here, but we felt that we should try to help bring Chicago back to what it once was.” She glanced behind her at Cinaed before looking back at Tempus. She heard Cinaed's words and shook her head, rolling her eyes. ”You are not a bother to me, Cinaed, I just do not like having a shadow all the time because you are afraid of what Andais would do if she were to find out that you didn't follow me.” She knew that she had slipped up by referring to the Queen of Air and Darkness by her first name, showing Tempus just how close she was to the Dark Queen, but she didn't care. If any of the Seelie Court had heard of the Blood Moon princess, then they would know that she was favored by the Dark Queen. It wasn't like she could hide it for too long, not that she would. She was upset that she had missed the hit to his groin, but even more so as he lifted her hand to his lips. Her heart sped up a little, but she was hoping he would think it was from rage and not excitement. She took her hand back quickly, glaring at him before focusing back on Tempus. She took a step back into Cinaed as he began to snap pictures, sighing. She leaned back against him and shook her head. ”Has there been anything happening in the city, besides the destruction that everyone has known about, that has prevented Fey from returning, Tempus?” She hadn't heard anything about them failing to return for any certain reasons, but he had been the first Fey she had seen since coming to Chicago, not including Cinaed who had been sent after her by the Queen herself. She didn't know why Andais has decided that Cin would be the perfect person she follow her to the world of the humans, having been her guard in the land of the Fey, but he had been one of the reasons that she wanted to get away from it all. Her feelings for him were something that confused and terrified her, so she had tried to run, only to be forced into having him as a constant companion yet again. Gesturing at the man behind her as he began to snap pictures, she smiled at Tempus. ”He's a photographer most of the time, so don't expect him to talk much when the camera is out.” She tried to keep her voice devoid of inflection and was pleased to find that not a single emotion came out in her words. She knew that Cinaed saw every threat that could possibly be around her, even when looking through the camera, but she still liked to pick on him about it. She wouldn't admit that she was proud of Cinaed, that she liked his photographs. No, she wouldn't admit that out loud to anyone.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cinaéd was as strange one. It was a small issue that any man of battle would leave his charge so untended but he supposed that spoke to his understanding of what Tempus was. As a once worshipped deity of time and war he was an eventuality that came to all beings. He was no such thing now none amongst the gentry were as they once were. He thought to the recollections of a time when he and his brother were recognized as one being. The beginning and end of things spoken of before any other worshipped deity. That was indeed long ago. ”Much has happened and is still happening. Luckily Good Sir Orric and his monsters have been laid to rest.”Tempus didn’t bother to elaborate how such a thing came to be. It was no small feat marshaling the Arcadians in the city without a freehold into a militia. It had cost them much but even at twice the price it was a steal for having prevented that madman the reins of another cities worth of Arcadians to bind to his cause against the host of both Taranis and Andais. It was also in nearly direct opposition of the power plays of both King and Queen. Either one who could take direct offense and demand a tithing of flesh as payment. He didn’t mind the tortures they could visit as a Lacrimosa Knight he was for all intents proof against such concerns in regards to his own flesh. It was that both nobles were sufficiently vindictive as to do so against the other Arcadians involved so as to cause maximum pain to all parties. He smiled wistfully as the unspoken tenderness between them spoke of unfulfilled moents of pleasure. It was the way of such things. What was right before one often was the least seen or most denied. Of course the torture of that unfulfilled longing was probably what spurred Andais to force them into each others company. It was a sweet punishment predicated on their inability to be completely honest with one another. Andais probably thought it was a torment that they couldn’t surmount. Tempus wasn’t so sure sometimes even the merest touch was more than enough happiness to last a few lifetimes. It wasn’t a release but it would do in light of the chastity Andais forced on her ravens. ”You are a Princess of Andais not merely a princess of the darkling throng. That is interesting to know.” Tempus knew it was considered foolish to invoke either High Courts monarchs but he enjoyed living all too much to allow the threat of thing from erring his aims. He also was a touch more brazen than smart at times. He was after all an aspect of battle and time made flesh. So it was to be expected that he of all the gentry would know the meaningless of it all. “While I am sure he is enjoying himself immensely I am also sure that while his aperture is focused elsewhere that his attention is all for you. I would wager that if he had his way the small pittance of a touch exchanged would lead to quite a deal more. I could be wrong and maybe I am merely seeing what I will as it has been sometime since I shared touch with another Arcadian. It however is doubtful my aim is true and my sight a good deal more.”Technically he was sticking his nose in where it didn’t belong. They however brought him in with their display of affection. It said more than they could ever or might ever would admit. He knew those signs in others even as he hid them from himself. He cared and had loved many mortal women often it seemed as if he fell more thoroughly for them than they he. It was an acceptable loss in his estimation of things. His blood ran hotter than most and unlike others he accepted it for what it was instead of lying to himself. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cinaed listened to the two talk as he watched the princess more then his pictures, its how it always was. His lips snarled as Tempus said the name Orric, but knowing he was gone made him feel better that he was gone. At least that was one lest monster he had to watch out for, but there was millions of more monster to watch out for. Sighing as he moved closer to the princess snapping one or two pictures of her though candid he liked them the best. Smiling as he tried too look like he wasn't paying attention to anything though it was different story, if anyone tried to go after the princess he would take care of it quickly. He moved quicker then what people would think he was gifted with speed for some reason. His ears perked up as Cinaed shuttered as she spokes the Queens name out loud knowing that she heard them slipping his camera after the last six snaps with his head turning to the side waiting to see if they would get a call. Moving his hand to zip the bag as he heard Tempus call her Princess of Andais, he moved quickly to behind the princess his face blank as his eyes harden. His hand moved to touch her shoulder as he tried to pull her back into him, this was when she needed to listen to him but he doubt she would. He all but glared at Tempus she a slight shake of his head letting the man before them know that this was not the place. Cinaed knew that this was a bad subject to talk about right now too many people where around and he didn't want to see her get upset. Sorcha's blood burned very hot and when she was mad Goddess help them all she would let them know. She was already being violent who knows what will happen next some times he didn't even know what the Blood moon would do. But no matter what he would stand behind her and defend her to his last breath it all depends on if she wanted him there beside her. If she did not then he would sit in the shadows and protect her from there like he did in the past.

Sorcha let out an involuntary shudder when he mentioned Orric, but then again, most people seemed to do that, especially Fey, but she covered it very well with a flick of her hair over her shoulder and a glance at Cinead who was still taking his pictures. She looked up at Tempus as he mentioned her Queen's name, knowing the few of the Seelie would dare to do such a thing because she would hear them. She was the Queen of Air and Darkness, anything spoken, she heard. ”I am one of the favored of the Queen because I hold one of her hands of power. She trained me to the best with that hand as she herself is. Though my power is great, it can never compare to the power and wonder my Queen wield when she brings her darkness.” She had meant every word, but at the same time, she was hoping that the compliment would be heard by the Queen so that she would overlook the fact that a Seelie had invoked her name. She raised an eyebrow at Tempus, hoping that he would realize why she had done it. Embarrassmen, shock, and anger flashed through Sorcha as Tempus spoke again, this time about Cinead and how he wanted to touch her. He was pretty much implying that Cinead had feelings for her, but she doubted that was true, not matter how much she wanted it to be true. ”Sir, you overstepped yourself. Such matters should not be discussed in private with another party, even if they were to true. Which I believe they are not.” She glanced at Cinead but didn't wait to understand the look on his face, afraid he would be laughing at the thought of feeling anything for her. She allowed Cinead to pull her back to him, knowing that he was trying to protect her, as he always did, but also because she was getting mad and she wasn't called the Blood Moon Princess for nothing. She tended to be a little more lose with her Hand of Old Blood when she was angry or upset, and the subject was definitely making her upset. She took a deep breath and looked up into Tempus's face, glad that Cinead couldn't see her face as she showed Tempus just the briefest glimpse of how much it hurt to think that she could never have Cinead like she wanted him. It was gone in a flash though before she spoke again. ”The touch of another Arcadian isn't as great as it once was, Tempus, so you aren't missing much.”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tempus smile brightened as they both betrayed a dislike of Orric. His mood was dampened by their fear of Andais. The queen of the high Unseelie Court was a fearsome beast that much was true. However even she was bound by certain decorum. She twist it to suit her as much as possible just like all Arcadians given the gift of life. Sadly all it would take would be the establishing of a freehold here to forestay her legendary temper. It would also be nearly impossible for her to strike at Tempus he was not of her court. Adding to the conundrum as far as the world was concerned he despised his brother which would grant her no measure of pleasure in attempting to use someone he cared for against him. They however was a another matter entirely. She could punish them directly and publicly. Thinking on their predicament he smiled shrugging their concerns off. The die was cast and what would be would be. There was no sense in mourning the mights and coulds if one did it tended to sap the life out of most things. Tempus watched the princess as her face betrayed all of the emotions his words had stirred in her. Cinaéd was as open a book as she though he was more placid in his reply. ”Mayhaps I have. Perhaps you’d wish me blind so as to not bear witness to the affection between you two or the restraint. If I were then it would be an overstep speaking on things not visible to the eye. If it was not for me to speak on then why the performance of showing me along with the rest of the world. If this is the place for such… Demonstrative displays then what right would anyone have to take umbrage at the speaking of it.” He smiled blunting the barbs of his words. She was in fact very spirited he would be the death Cinaéd if things went as thus with others of the gentry. He could see the duels begun over her tone and tongue out of hand. Perhaps it was a good thing they were all masquerading as humans now. She could use the mellowing of her fires that their associations could provide. Hopefully she wouldn’t forestall Cinaéd his taste of flesh as her queen surely would have. At least one of them could be happy before she ushered their deaths with a carelessly tossed off lashing. “As for touch I disagree princess. Touch is one of the mist fundamental selfless gifts one could share. As such it shouldn’t be given lightly nor denied without cause. I might be wrong or my view may be skewed though howI know not I always hit what I am aiming at.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
