Lilly laughed a little as she followed Hiero across the intersection with what seemed like a million other people. "I have no problem with you stuffing your face. I will probably do the same even though I have never eaten here before. The smell wafting through the door is mouth watering." As they walked she noticed him moving closer to her as he spoke of a coffee shop that was on their way to the restaurant. She wasn't a fan of drinking coffee but the smell made up for it in her opinion. "Sounds like a nice place to go one of these days."
Lilly looked at Hiero with a question on her face. "What do you mean they went mad... I personally have never met a tiger and while i have heard some questionable stuff about streaks as a whole..." She paused a moment to think about what she had just said and it kind of made her think she was talking to much. But then what would you expect out of a person that liked talking and being around other people. "So if the streak were the bad boys then I'm guessing that the roles you and whoever is the Nest keep the peace and order now instead of the hyenas and bears?" She began to wonder if this little excursion was going to turn into an all day affair. Not that it bothered her but she would have thought with him being the Pride leader and all he would have other business matters to attend.
"I have to point out that I have never eaten at Ranalli's before. So I hope you can make suggestions. Also where exactly are we headed?" Lilly stepped up to the curb and looked across the street at the restaurant. She looked both ways and waited a second or two before making her way across the road.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hiero laughed finding Lilly endearing. “Yeah Esme is a regular guidepost to the preternatural community. She’s one of the gateway preternaturals herself it seems. And she has teas as well as coffee. One of these days after you’re settled in you really should stop by and take a peek at some of the scents she has going on in there.” Moving to the door Hiero opened it ushering her in. “And thanks for not saying good guys. We’re not we’re just necessary. Hopefully we won’t be soon. Hopefully the city will be able to stand on its own and the clans present a united front. That’s the goal anyway.” Smiling at the hostess who waited for them to enter before greeting them he waited until they were in a booth looking over the menu before going on. “Sorry about not being able to point you towards the Jamboree directly but they are a newer addition to the city. The last Chang of the Streak went mad with power. She had allied with the Kiss while pretending to be allied with the clans and she betrayed us. Had to be madness other way to view it especially as her son was as crazy as she was and violent to boot. Things are better but not quite there yet. I did however hear that they renovating the Bee building on the southside that might be a good place to start. Once you get settled in…” Sitting his menu down he looked towards the waitress who was approaching. “I already know what I’d like but the lady would perhaps need a few more minutes to look over the menu can we start with a couple of drinks your choice.” He’d learned from all of his dining out that drinks were always a good way to ingratiate ones self to the wait staff mentioning drinks made them expectant that the table wouldn’t be a waste of their time serving. Taking his gloves off once the waitress left to fetch their drinks he went on. “As for our destination I was thinking of showing you the basics of the city, the sleuths clinic, my garage, the bowling alley wear the leopards play and a few others along with the wolves school so you can have an idea as to the lay of the land. Just a small tour. It will give you a good idea as to where to ask and introduce yourself as well especially if you were looking for a little work where being a lycanthrope wouldn’t even be a factor.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lilly had planned on pulling open the door to the restaurant herself but found that somehow Hiero had managed to beat her to it. She eyed him and little moodily but didn't say a word as she walked past him and into the establishment. As the hostess showed them to their seats she said "I don't particularly like coffee or tea. Both taste funny but i don't know why." Lil made a sour face at the thought of trying to drink more of the stuff.
After the two of them took their seats she looked Hiero with a thoughtful look "I didn't say good guys as I don't really know you. Who knows, you could be a bad guy acting good. I would hope not however." Lilly couldn't help but be honest with the lion plus she found telling it as she saw it was normally better then skirting around what she really wanted to say. Easier as well. "Its fine that you cant. Either I'll run across somebody that can or i figure the leader will send out a call when they are ready."
As Hiero told her what the Chang had done to the other lycanthrope groups she got pissed off even though it had happened in the past. She just couldn't stand liars and the like. "That is just not right. That's just something you don't do. Never turn your back on those that should be your friends and allies." As the waitress approached their table Lilly looked up at her with a smile and ordered a dr.pepper and watched as the woman walked off to get both drinks while she kept looking through the menu.
When Hiero finished talking about his plans and where he wanted to take her so she could better acquainted with the city, she paused and looked up at him. "That sounds like a good plan. I don't have to work but i would definitely like to since it will give me something to do with my days." Lilly had just put down her menu when the waitress returned with their drinks and asked if they were ready.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hiero smiled at her flare of annoyance. He’d known some women who couldn’t take the common act of kindness without considering it an act chauvinism. He wasn’t naturally a chauvinist and rarely considered that bent on things. He would have opened the door for any of his friends or strangers for that matter. It was a kindness an act of noblesse oblige. He shrugged it off. He didn’t know the leader of the jamboree but he was sure that Lilly’s quiet side would hold a whip crack of temper occasionally "You are definitely in the minority shunning them both. Caffeine in all its many forms makes the world go around." Laughing softly at her comment about good guys and bad guys. It was interesting to have things stated so plainly yet as direct as he normally was in most cases. His laugh falling to a good natured chuckle Hiero went on. "I’m not that good of an actor. I am pretty direct most times. I’m just learning tact so if I offend you I apologize in advance. I mean no harm most of the time when I have it in for someone I tend to be as plain and bright as all outdoors." Hiero met the young jaguar’s eyes. He appreciated the direct approach. He often had to reel back his natural forthrightness. Having someone operate in the same penchant. "The jamboree leader is laying low I think he is lining up things before he makes any moves in the city. Sounds about right. When I first got here I scouted around staying out of as much as I could while I got the Pride some permanence going."He appreciated her unbiased opinion on the former Chang. He didn’t like thinking on what he’d had to do in regards to the former Khan. He wished he hadn’t had to end the man but there wasn’t a choice in the end. He had given himself over to his own beast. "It’s not but I’ve learned to brace myself for almost any outcome. People have a habit of surprising you at the worst times possible. So while I hope for the best I tend to plan for the worst."The waitress returned and he ordered a sampler to start and a big meaty pizza to follow up. It was after all just a snack. He could see even as she spoke her mind she considered what she said as well. It was an interesting trait. If he’d mastered it he would have been god knew where. He probably wouldn’t have closed so many doors in his lifetime. "Work is strangely enough a thing that is something easy to come by for lycanthropes here. Most of the clan heads have one business or another and always make or save room for their fellow furry afflicted brethren. What do you do normally jobwise?" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
