Having watched the tender moment between Katrina and his brother Tempus was of a mind to unveil himself. To put an end to the enchantment between them their moment of he knew not what. Yet as drunk on glamour as T'lynxtri was. As other than herself as Katrina was. Whether this moment would last or merely drift away as smoke on the wind; Or worse if this was a moment of permanence frozen in amber to viewed by later generations he knew it would be wrong to interfere. They shared something whether either knew it or not. His brother was bewitched by the duel effects of a surfeit of glamour and an unexpected kindness. For a moment he was able to see the world as Tempus did. A random garden of untold flora. That in and of itself should make him recant his unspoken vow against Katrina, yet he could not. He would view this as merely a holiday the exception to the rule. His brother was well and had been treated far more fairly than he'd thought possible. So now was the time to question the why of his dilemma. Stepping from the nothingness of the shadows near T'lynxtri he spoke, "You are at peace left-hand but there was a cause for your need of draining the glamour of these carousers who or what might that be?"

“Ah right hand, I am glad that you made it.”
T’lynx’tri waited to see if anyone was around before he continued.
“This was done by the lions Rex and yet I really have to think on whether retribution is warranted, while he was truly overzealous, and for that alone he should be damaged, it was because of the love for his snake friend that he did what he did.”
T’lynx’tri looked around again to see if he could find Katrina although he could not thank her openly he would enjoy a look at her or perhaps the one who dragged him to hide.
“Of what value do that snake guy have to this city, I know he has little value to you and your plans but is he values to this city?”
He took a deep breath to decide what was he going to say next.
“I may have made a mistake in taking him. I did not expect that as a reaction, but it seems as if the game changed once again.”

" I can't speak on his value though it is of quite some worth. It was what I was hoping you'd see. but this 'Rex' is responsible for your need of glamour how so?" Tempus' voice was even and to the casual passerby even pleasant as he sat. But his brother could hear the silence hidden therein the silence of permanent reprisal. Tempus played many roles and wore many faces but his brother could pierce the veil on many of them. This mask of indifference was just that a paper thin mask hiding the rage seldom knew he possessed. By naming the Rex T'lynxtri assured the mans death as surely as tomorrow would come whether it was needed or not.

“Well what basically happened Tempus was that I was tracking the dragon and I let my guard down because I was tracking. He got the drop on me, with some cold iron cuffs. He seemed to want to interrogate me about the snake’s whereabouts. I told him that he was away and safe, but he refused to take my word. It was almost as if he thought I was you or something.”
T’lynx’tri watched as his brother face folded down on itself. It was as if his brother’s mask was fading away and his rage filled self was being brought to the fore. He knew it was a mistake to tell his brother what was happening but at the same time he could not nor would he ever lie to his brother. Tempus was he had, and he would not tarnish that bond.
“So what where you up to while I was being assaulted brother dear.”

" As always proceed hunting your shadow so that I might not be well and truly alone. The iron explains why your trail disappeared. But How would you like to progress, Left-hand." Normally Tempus would have rebuffed his brothers aside but now it was more important to get the whole of things well within view. He had inhaled the scent of wolf on his brother and that was no beast of the lions pride he knew of. "You are not telling me that one lion was able to make way past your senses undetected. What haven't you said as you know the devils in the details."

“Unfortunately the crime scene was at a party, as such there were quite a few shifters about. The Rex had used the wolves as a holdout. Although it was mostly because of surprise that he was able to get the drop on me.”
T’lynx’tri wiped his hand across his face, Before he continued.
“Although we were both shot with silver, I need a moment to think about how best to proceed against the Rex. Assuming that I even assault the Rex, it would be something I need to sleep on.”

"Surprise or no either this act by our hand is worth action or this act is beneath us. Sleep will avail us naught but time squandered. I know this night has had some effect upon you, but we are spirits if not gods of battle. Haviing been laid low by this foul geas of Sir Orrics is one thing but retribution is in our blood to what ends do we act. Speak truly dear Left the hand or the blade." Normally even with his brother he would have chosen a less direct path. But he was wont to have any affront to his brother not mete its just end. The issue that they'd come here to avert would not wait so there was no need for them to wait to mete out the balancing of the scales.

“For this is the reason Right hand that I choose to hold my wrath until a later date, Orric is moving along at the speed that we have allowed him. we can fall upon the Lion like the darkness itself however the time spent plotting could be better used defeating Orric then I will deal with the Rex, If the need arises. What say you Right hand. Shall we spend time laying low a beast of burden instead while chaos takes hold In the city. ”

"Orric has already tied our hands with this geas and none but we to one another might speak of the impending doom we seek to avert. For the now he has already one reducing us to hornblowers of his march. None but we stand against him and all but we may speak of it. So to that end at least in this matter let us either be what we once were or that new thing a combination of what has come before and what may yet be." Having ridden with the hunt he and his brother were two halves of one lasting small part of that most heinous of tools. The idea that kindness or worse yet mercy might yet stain their hands troubled him some. In another time he might have bartered some small thing for an act such as that for the Rex as the actions were wrought by T'lynxtri's hand, but now he could not stomachethe idea that mercy came so easily to his brother.

T’lynx’tri looked at his brother anew, for scores of decades Tempus had bartered for T’lynx’tri to stay his hand and to take the long view. To even go so far in one or two cases to supplant the enemy with himself in an effort to calm the rage within T’lynx’tri. The irony was that now that he had shown Tempus that he had listened and learned it seems as if Tempus wants a return to the old ways of bruise me and I disembowel and bleed you.
“Perhaps I have lost my taste for needless nay senseless violence. At least for the nonce. If I still feel that way once Orric has been routed than the Rex may have averted his own death. If not then his death will be something I will bestow on the other lions....Hmm his other lions. that could have some merit as well ”
