Ian finished signing the paperwork for the last of the office furniture. He was getting ready to contact the local Unemployment Commission Office to put in an add for a secretary and some employees. He already had an ad out for a personal assistant, and a house keeper. He settled into his chair to start making the calls to get the sign maker in to paint the door and window of his office with his logo. He had telephoned Katrina and gave her his number, also he had sent word to a few others he was going to be opening up shop.
High end top of the line security systems was what he was going to be doing, designing and installing them. He checked with a few people to find out who might be good to over see his installation crew. He would need some good electronics experts, and a top notch secretary to handle things.
As for his personal secretary he was not sure what he needed but whoever it was would have to be on top of there game. He was hoping his being Fae would draw in customers... they always say with age comes wisdom. Right now he hoped that adage was true. He sat at the desk and prepared for the long task ahead of finding and hiring his staff and crew. Ian kept the name Ian Colby instead of Breon for this venture... he liked the name.
With the add set he went to work setting up the filing cabinets the way he wanted them and the rest of the office. He hoped this would pan out... not that he needed the money he could sell of things, but he really wanted to keep busy and do something worth while for Chicago... not like last time....

Sally looked at the door as she opened it and stuck her head in; she was looking for another job to pair with her job at Ryssa arts but today was personal. She hit an art block and seemed to be very upset and on top of that she needed a new security system at the same time, her house was broken into nothing was gone but still. She walked completely in the store as there the door chimed announcing her arrival to the store, wear a pair of broken in jean and a nice tee shirt and a pair of flip flops as she sighed. Her hair falling loose around her faces framing it in the soft curls, sighing.
“Hello?” She asked as she looked around but on top of everything she need a phone that wasn’t dead or a power plug she laughed in her head at the situation. “Is anyone here I just need to ask a favor if possible…” (sorry short and took so long baby not feeling good)

Ian emerged from his office. His hair was in a pony tail and hung around his waist. He wore a white Polo shirt which set off his skin which looked like the night sky just after a lightning strike. He smiled at the young woman in his office. Ian was comfortable in the polo shirt and Jeans. He was not using glamor, it might draw in more customers to deal with a fey. "Yes Ma'am I am Ian Colby... How can I help you?" He smiled and his eyes stood out with there Gold, light blue, light green irises. "Forgive me... Please have a seat, sorry about the inconvenience I am just getting the shop open and looking for employees." He pulled out a seat for the woman and gestured for her to sit.

Sally looked at the man and smiled as she loosen the grip of her own glamor as she looked at him and smiled her tri color eyes showing . The greens were more vivid then usually today as she flipped her hair off her shoulder. “Well Hello Mr. Coldy I am Sally and in fact I am looking for a plug if I may to charge my phone and maybe a newer system you offer since my last one failed and someone broke in.” She said as bluntly as any of their kind would.
“Also Mr. Coldy your cloths work very well on you, very handsome.” She said as any Fae would to one of their kind in fact it was rude not to; taking the chair as she set in and smiled at him. “Do you think you would be able to help me?” She asked .

Ian smiled and shook his head "Well Sally your proof that the world out side fae has better looks in clothing than Fairie. You look charming if I might say. There is a plug just to the side of the desk, your more than welcome to recharge your phone while we work on how better to protect your home." Ian offered to plug the phone in for her. "Forgive me I am also called Breon among our kind, but I have been among the mortals for over 80 years."
Ian sat across from her "So lets work on better protecting your home. What style of house do your live in? Depending on the style I can suggest several options. I would suggest automatic security lights, anyone walking up to the house would turn them on attracting attention. Also several cameras tied into a DVR system Hidden away where only you can get to it so if someone gets past my system they will be on tape thus helping the authorities. So give me an over view of your place and we can set up a time for me to look over the property and start working on the system best for you."
Ian was slipping he was not even trying to sense her glamor he was preoccupied with trying to find help but that was no excuse. She was an attractive woman, so today would not be a total waste.

“Well I live in a large four story brick townhouse with full basement and a roof garden on top of that.” She said as she smiled a small blush moved across her cheeks. Sally got up from the chair to plug her phone in waiting to see what he said as she looked around the basically bare office as she sighed and wondered if he could use some help as she chuckled a bit. Slowly she sat down back in her chair, the small teasing grin sat on her face as her crossed her ankles
. “The first floor is your normal set up with a large kitchen, dining room formal and un, a living room and my study. Second floor is the guest rooms and two bathrooms; third floor is my personal room that holds my work space and my own personal room. Then the fourth floor is a big library, which holds many volumes some that my mother gave me that cannot be replaced if something happens. There are fire places threw out the house, two on the bottom floor that is counting the wood burning stove, one in my room, and the big marble on in the library. ” She finished with a straight face and a twinkle in her eyes, her tongue darted out as she licked her bottom lip but her focus was all on the man before her. “Do you think you could help me? Or is it a hopeless cause? ”
Sighing as she moved to her purse and pulled a glass water bottle out it was her new line, the bottle itself had vines of ivy and roses wrapped around it, sliver accented the roses as she moved it to her lips and drank the cool water.

Ian Smiled watching the young woman in his office. She was stunning, even in plain clothes the Fey could make them look spectacular. "Forgive the sparse office I just today finished signing the papers, Congratulations your my first customer. Its a mess here, still hiring people and such, but you are not a lost cause. I will take personal control of the development of your system. I suggest a few items off the bat, I would have motion sensors placed in the chimneys, they can be calibrated so that anything thing the size of a rat will set them off also you can have it silently alert you on your computer." Ian smiled at her it had been many years since he sat this openly with any one fay part or whole. He relaxed and leaned forward slightly.
"I also suggest that we put sensors on every window so if the glass is broken or the window forced open you will be alerted as will the local LEOs. We will also deadbolt the doors. On the second floor, we will again do the windows and we can install small cameras through out the common areas and tie it into a DVR system. We will safely lock it away where only you can access it... you might have to loose some closet space so I can hide it." Ian paused and took out a legal pad and started taking notes. "On your private rooms we will install a special locking mechanism for when your in there. We mount in the floor and the door inset metal catches, so you can place a metal bar in place. Now you will not have to use that feature every day, but if you are at home and the alarm is triggered you can barricade your self in. I also suggest we replace some of your private rooms doors with metal doors with a wooden vanear." Ian paused and got himself a cup of coffee. "I am sorry my manners are atrocious would you like a glass or cup for your water?" he asked smiling and looking into her eyes.

Sally looked at Ian as she licked the droplets off her lower lip as she smiled back at him and nodded. “A cup would be very nice if you have one, and the office us not sparse its open and freeing so people don’t feel closed in. “ She said with a twinkle in her eyes as she played with a strand of her hair that fell in her face. “What type of metal would be used in the doors and the I do have a dog but its more of a puppy though”
Flipping the rest of her hair off her shoulders as her eyes stayed on him everywhere he move, it wasn’t as if she couldn’t look away it was watching to make sure he didn’t do anything that could cause her harm. She smiled at him. “So you seem shorthanded here…” She scanned the area and smiled. “ But you seem to have things handled and I am honored that I am the first “

Ian took a coffee mug and handed it to her with a sealed wet wipe. "I was thinking of using 2 thin sheets of steel with a honeycomb of steel between making it light and sturdy. As for your puppy we can build in a chip in his collar or under his skin so if he sets off the alarm you will know its him." Ian sat down across from her added milk and 7 scoops of sugar to his coffee. "I will also set you up with a display system for your books like mine, It locks, is fire resistant, and very secure. I have several hundred books that are irreplaceable. I have collected them over the centuries. Yes just opening and still waiting for applicants so my company right now is staffed by... well me." Ian chuckled. "I am honored that my first client is on of my kind... I should state this, I am of the unseele court, but for the last 80 plus years I have lived among mortals to get away from the court... I am not a normal unseele." well Ian had put it out there, lets see how she takes it. She could take it in stride or hit him with the cup. Ian was worried about losing his first customer.

Sally looked at Ian and sighed as she shook her head and looked at him. “Does it matter what court you are from?” She asked him as she took a breath unlike her mother it didn’t matter to her but to some it did. Slowly she reached out and took the mug as she opened the wipe and cleaned the cup. “Are you worried that I will run away from you in fear? “ She said with a smiled her eyes twinkling “I mean if you want me to fake it I can if that makes you feel better.”
Taking a deep breath as she looked at him and then let it out in a laugh. “Ok back to talking about the system. What if the chip just didn’t set the alarm off for my puppy?” She asked as she was trying not to tease him as a pure mortal would.
